Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Picks up three hits Thursday
Rojas went 3-for-7 in Thursday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.
That doubles his hit total on the season, and Rojas is now hitting .286 (6-for-21) with two runs scored and two RBI. The 28-year-old has shown he can make consistent contact in the minors, including a .301/.343/.430 line in 65 games for Triple-A New Orleans in 2015, so don't be surprised if he collects a few more hits while filling in at shortstop for Adeiny Hechavarria (oblique).

Giants' Brandon Crawford: Makes pinch-hit appearance Thursday
Crawford (personal) grounded out as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning Thursday, Andrew Baggarly of the Bay Area News Group reports.
The shortstop left the team Wednesday after his wife's oldest sister passed away, but he rejoined the club Thursday around game time and served a role off the bench. Crawford probably will return to the starting lineup Friday.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Pops first homer of season Thursday
Story went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Giants.
His fourth-inning blast off Madison Bumgarner was his first homer of the season. Story's April so far in 2017 has been a far cry from last year's, as he's slashing just .143/.268/.314 through 11 games, but Thursday's dinger might have been just what he needed to get going.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Out of lineup again
Crawford is not in the lineup Thursday against the Rockies, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
After starting all of the Giants' first eight games, Crawford has now been held out of the lineup for two of the last three contests. There hasn't been any word of an injury at this point, though it'll definitely be something to monitor moving forward as it seems unlikely that he would be rested in games so close to each other.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Out of lineup Wednesday
Diaz is not in the Cardinals' starting lineup for Wednesday's game at Washington, Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest reports.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Marlins' Dee Gordon: Picks up three hits Tuesday
Gordon went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Braves.
It was his first multi-hit game of the young season, but Gordon has strung together a six-game hitting streak and is now hitting .286 (8-for-28). The speedy second baseman has a modest two steals and four runs scored so far, but both numbers should rise now that he seems to be finding his stroke at the plate.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Struggles continue Tuesday
Swanson went 0-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins.
The rookie shortstop is slashing just .156/.206/.281 through seven games to kick off the season, with a solo homer being his only real offensive contribution. The Braves will give Swanson a very long leash when it comes to shaking off this slump, as this is expected to be a rebuilding year for the team anyway, but if his bat doesn't begin to pick up fairly soon he could be facing a demotion to Triple-A -- a level he skipped over completely in 2016.
