Marlins 2B Dee Gordon (thumb) could take BP this week
Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon is making progress in his recovery from a dislocated thumb. Gordon is expected to take batting practice at the club's spring training facility in Jupiter, Fla. by the end of the week.
Gordon was placed on the disabled list last Friday after suffering the injury just before the All-Star break. There is currently no timetable for his return, though manager Dan Jennings did not rule out a return when first eligible on Monday, according to MLB.com.

Crawford hit the home run off Odrisamer Despaigne in the fourth inning. It was his 13th home run of the season. He finished the game 3 for 4 with two runs scored.
Prior to his three-hit game Tuesday, Crawford was hitting .200 with one home run and eight RBI in his last 12 games.
