Turner went 1-for-4 with a steal, an RBI and a run against the Braves on Thursday.

He's now hit safely in eight consecutive games and has racked up five steals in that span. It'd be nice to see Turner develop his plate discipline a little more, as he's got an unimpressive 4:27 BB:K in 31 big league games, but he's still been an electric presence at the top of the Nationals' lineup and the speedster's just getting started on what should be an illustrious career.

Featherston is a late addition to the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Dodgers, Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

Featherston replaces Cesar Hernandez at second base, as he was a late scratch. It is unclear where he will be slotted in the order. The 26-year-old is hitting just .091 in 22 at-bats this season.

Arcia is out of the lineup Thursday against the Cubs.

The slick-fielding rookie will be held out for the second time in three games Thursday, making way for Jonathan Villar at shortstop with Hernan Perez moving in to cover third base. There is no denying this would have been a very rough matchup for Arcia, as the Brewers are up against righty Jake Arrieta on Thursday. The Brewers are well aware that Arcia may not be fully ready to hit big league pitching, but he is getting a valuable crash course in what he needs to improve on heading into next season.

Crawford went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in the Giants' 6-5 loss at the hands of the Pirates.

The triple was Crawford's eighth of the season, putting him into a tie for second for most triples in the MLB this season. The solid night raised Crawford's RBI total to 74, best among NL shortstops ahead of fellow NL West stars Trevor Story and Corey Seager. He's now hitting .271/.338/.439 on the year.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and a pair of runs scored in Wednesday's high-scoring loss in Colorado.

Turner has been nothing short of exceptional since being called up to the majors for good on July 10th. The young shortstop is hitting .315, and has flashed blazing speed on a regular basis. The triple was amazing Turner's sixth of the season in just 30 games played, a 162-game pace of 32 that would be the most triples in a season since 1912. He also has 12 stolen bases for a 162-game pace of 65. In short, Turner has been a stellar leadoff man in his short time in the majors, and looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

The Braves called up Swanson from Double-A Mississippi on Wednesday.

Swanson reached Double-A for the first time this season and has played just 84 games at the level, but the Braves believe he is ready for big-league action. His .745 OPS with Mississippi does not jump off the page, but with Erick Aybar traded to the Tigers, Swanson will take over as the Braves' regular shortstop for the foreseeable future. Swanson will hit eighth Wednesday in his big league debut.

Gordon collected two more hits and stole a base in Tuesday's loss to the Reds.

That makes three straight multi-hit games for the leadoff man as he continues to put in solid work at the dish. Since returning from an 80-game PED suspension on July 28, Gordon has batted .338/.413/.400 with 17 runs scored and eight steals in 17 games.

Crawford (oblique) took part in infield drills and batting practice Tuesday, Tom Housenick of the Allentown Morning Call reports.

Crawford has been sidelined since last week with what appears to be a mild oblique strain. Manager Dave Brundage said he hopes to have Crawford back in the lineup soon.

Baez homered and knocked in two runs in a 2-for-4 game in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against Milwaukee.

Baez extended his hitting streak to four games and has two homers in that short span. While his plate discipline continues to be lacking (11:79 BB:K), Baez is supplying great power for somebody with his excellent positional versatility. With 13 home runs in just 321 plate appearances, Baez is showing he has 20-homer power if he can ever find a positional home where he can get consistent at-bats.

Swanson will be called up from Double-A Mississippi on Wednesday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The Braves dealt Erick Aybar to the Tigers on Tuesday, clearing room for their top prospect to join the major league roster. Swanson is expected to be in the lineup Wednesday to face Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson in his big league debut. While Swanson saw a significant drop in production after moving up to Mississippi and may be in line for more growing pains with another jump in levels, he will gain valuable experience over the final couple months in preparation for the Opening Day nod in 2017.
