Andrew Velazquez SS | TEX
Angels' Andrew Velazquez: Sitting Monday
Velazquez isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Oakland, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Velazquez has seen his playing time fluctuate over the last few days, as he's had just eight at-bats over his club's last five contests. David Fletcher draws the start at shortstop Monday with Phil Gosselin set to handle the hot corner and Luis Rengifo penciled in at second base.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Two extra-base hits Sunday
DeJong went 2-for-3 with one double, one homer, four RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Yankees.
After hitting just .182 in his first seven games back from Triple-A, DeJong showed up in big fashion Sunday. With a home run, a double, and seven combined runs and RBI, DeJong finally showed a glimpse of the 2019 self who mashed 30 home runs. The shortstop slugged .552 in Triple-A over 51 games this season, so it is possible he has regained his form and could provide decent power for the Cardinals down the stretch.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Accounts for offense Sunday
Mateo went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Pirates.
Mateo had half of the Orioles' hits as well as their lone run, a third-inning blast off Pirates starter Bryse Wilson. Through six games in August, Mateo has gone 7-for-20 (.350) with three homers, two steals, eight RBI and seven runs scored. He's up to a .220/.270/.396 slash line, 11 long balls, 26 stolen bases, 34 RBI and 44 runs scored in 100 contests overall, with his speed and defense keeping him as a regular presence in the lineup.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Dodgers' Trea Turner: Registers steal in win
Turner went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Padres.
Turner got aboard with a single in the seventh inning, then stole second and scored on a Freddie Freeman single. This was Turner's first steal (and attempt) in 10 games, a span in which he's hit safely in nine contests. The speedy shortstop is up to 19 thefts in 21 tries this year, and he's added a stellar .305/.345/.499 slash line, 18 home runs, 77 RBI and 66 runs scored through 108 games.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Launches 22nd home run
Adames went 1-for-5 with one homer, one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Cincinnati.
Adames took a 2-0 cutter from Graham Ashcraft deep to left-center in the third inning for his 22nd home run of the season. Sunday's effort was indicative of his season as a whole, as with the 1-for-5 effort, Adames is now hitting .220 but is second in home runs among shortstops only to Corey Seager. Despite the low average, Adames' power and position atop the Brewers lineup make him a top option at the position.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Accounts for offense in loss
Swanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets.
Swanson was the only Atlanta batter to record a hit off Jacob deGrom, and he made it count with a sixth-inning blast to right-center field to end the Mets' ace's start. The homer snapped an 18-game power drought for Swanson, who last went yard July 14. The shortstop is up to 16 homers, 58 RBI, 72 runs scored and 14 stolen bases while slashing .292/.348/.461 through 110 contests.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Steps out of lineup
Perdomo is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Perdomo is 2-for-13 with a home run, four RBI, two runs and a stolen base through five games in August and will head to the bench Sunday. Sergio Alcantara will take over at shortstop in the series finale versus Colorado.
-
Josh H. Smith 2B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Smith: Takes seat Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Fellow rookie Ezequiel Duran will take over at third base while Smith sits for the second time in the four-game series. Smith is slashing an unremarkable .234/.321/.255 in 16 games since the All-Star break and may have to settle for something less than an everyday role until his performance proves worthy of a larger share of playing time.
-
Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Braves' Orlando Arcia: Not in Sunday's lineup
Arcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Arcia was held out of the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader and will be on the bench again Sunday. Ehire Adrianza will work at the keystone during the series finale in New York.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Receives maintenance day
Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
Correa will be getting his first day off since July 6 while Nick Gordon takes over at shortstop in the series finale. Dating back to the All-Star break, Correa has hit .192 with two home runs, four RBI and six additional runs while starting in all 13 of the Twins' games.
