Castillo is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

The righty-hitting Castillo had started at either second base or shortstop in each of the past four games, though the Pirates opposed southpaw starting pitchers in the latter three contests. Castillo recorded an RBI in each of those last three games and looks to have secured a regular spot in the lineup versus lefties, but he'll be back on the bench Tuesday with the Brewers bringing right-hander Corbin Burnes to the hill.

The Giants optioned Williams to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Before reporting to Sacramento, Williams will be eligible to play for the Giants in Tuesday's doubleheader with the Mets after San Francisco designated him as its 29th man, according to Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News.

The Giants will swap Williams, a righty-hitting utility man, off the 28-man active roster for a lefty-hitting one in Jason Vosler, who should give manager Gabe Kapler some more options off the bench late in games while lefty hitters LaMonte Wade (knee) and Tommy La Stella (Achilles) reside on the injured list. Williams had seen limited use in the Giants' first nine games, starting twice and logging just five plate appearances in total. He should get the chance to play on an everyday basis when he heads to Sacramento after Tuesday's doubleheader.

Adrianza (quadriceps) has yet to resume any running workouts or baseball activities since straining his left quadriceps tendon in a March 31 Grapefruit League game, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The Nationals were initially hopeful that the quad strain would result in a brief stint on the 10-day injured list for Adrianza to begin the season, but three weeks after suffering the injury, the 32-year-old doesn't appear close to a return. Since he hasn't been able to do even light activities, Adrianza is likely at least two weeks away from being ready to play in a game. Adrianza's ongoing absence should allow Lucius Fox to stick around with the big club as a utility infielder.

Castillo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Brewers.

The rookie infielder took Eric Lauer deep in the top of the fourth inning for his first long ball in the majors. Castillo has been seeing most of his action at second base, and the 24-year-old is batting .310 (9-for-29) through his first eight big-league games as he auditions to potentially be the future double play partner for Oneil Cruz.

Turner went 1-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and three RBI against Atlanta in a 7-4 win Monday.

Turner broke the game open with his fourth-inning, bases-clearing double that doubled the Dodgers' lead from three runs to six. The speedy shortstop had previously swiped his third bag of the campaign following a third-inning fielder's choice. Turner is living up to the lofty fantasy draft position he garnered in most leagues this season, slashing .310/.333/.452 with a home run, 10 RBI, six runs and three stolen bases through 45 plate appearances.

Franco (quadriceps) is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Franco was originally in the lineup Monday, only to be scratched with tightness in his right quadriceps. He was reportedly available to pinch hit and nearly entered Monday's loss to the Cubs in the ninth inning. Though a return Tuesday is realistic, even if Franco is held out of the lineup again, his absence doesn't look likely to cost him an extended stretch of game action.

The initial diagnosis doesn't sound particularly severe, but it's possible the diagnosis could change into something more serious after further tests. Yandy Diaz will replace him in the lineup, starting at third base and pushing Taylor Walls to shortstop.

Fletcher (hip) could be ready soon after the Angels return home Friday, though he may need a rehab assignment, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Fletcher has been out for nearly a week with a strained left hip. It looks as though he could be ready for game action within the next week, but his first game action may not come at the major-league level. Andrew Velazquez has handled shortstop in his absence.

Abrams will be on the bench Monday against Cincinnati, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Abrams has started against every righty the Padres have faced this season but has been on the bench against every lefty, including Monday's starter Nick Lodolo. Ha-Seong Kim will start at shortstop.

Camargo isn't starting Monday against Colorado, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Camargo will get a breather after hitting .217 with two doubles, two RBI and a walk in the last six games. Alec Bohm will start at the hot corner and bat sixth.
