Cardinals manager Mike Shildt said Edman (torso) won't be included in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale with the Marlins, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

St. Louis will withhold Edman from the starting nine for the second day in a row after he was previously scratched ahead of Tuesday's 2-1 win when he experienced torso tightness. Shildt didn't indicate whether Edman would be available off the bench, so the 26-year-old's status is somewhat hazy heading into the Cardinals' four-game series in Atlanta that begins Thursday.

Correa went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-3 extra-inning win over the Rangers.

With the Astros trailing 2-1 in the ninth inning and down to their final strike, Correa drove a Josh Sborz slider over the fence in right field to send the game to extras. The shortstop is slashing .348/.444/.674 through 11 games in June with four of his 12 homers on the season.

Bichette went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and three RBI during Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Yankees.

Bichette clubbed a solo homer during the third inning and brought home two runs on a single during the following frame, but Toronto's offense was otherwise fairly quiet. The 23-year-old has a .284/.332/.500 slash line with 14 home runs, 14 doubles, nine stolen bases, 42 RBI and 57 runs through 65 games this season. He's also homered three times in his last four games.

Mondesi (hamstring) will start at shortstop and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against Detroit, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Mondesi was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Tigers, but he didn't appear in the 4-3 loss. Prior to his second stint on the injured list, the 25-year-old hit .360 with two home runs, five RBI and a stolen base across seven games.

Turner went 4-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored during Tuesday's 8-1 win over Pittsburgh.

Turner delivered his second four-hit performance of the season and had his first extra-base knock since June 5. The 27-year-old has a .308/.352/.473 slash line with 10 homers, 31 RBI, 34 runs and 13 stolen bases through 64 games in 2021.

Crawford went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-0 win over the Twins.

Crawford wasted no time getting the offense started as he took J.A. Happ deep to right field to lead off the bottom of the first. He also knocked a pair of singles and came around to score again in the fourth. The 26-year-old has really picked things up in June, slashing .393/.455/.625 with two homers, eight RBI, 10 runs scored, a stolen base and an 8:12 BB:K over 14 games.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Tuesday against Atlanta.

Bogaerts went yard in the fifth inning to record his 13th homer of the season. He's gone on a bit of a power tear of late, as he's delivered three home runs and one double in his last six starts. For the season, Bogaerts is hitting .319/.383/.557 with 39 runs scored and 40 RBI across 264 plate appearances.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's loss to the Mets.

Baez got the scoring starting by taking Taijuan Walker deep in the third inning. However, he went down on strikes in his other three chances at the plate. The 28-year-old returned to the starting lineup Tuesday after sitting Sunday and Monday with thumb soreness. Although he has tallied 15 long balls on the season, Baez has had a tough June so far, going 4-for-36 with 18 strikeouts.

Edman was scratched from Tuesday's lineup versus the Marlins due to tightness in his torso, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Edman was penciled in at the leadoff spot, per usual, but he was scratched from the lineup shortly before the start of Tuesday's contest. The 26-year-old should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status. Lane Thomas will work in right field while Edmundo Sosa handles the keystone.

Mondesi (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

Manager Mike Matheny said earlier Tuesday that Mondesi was "very close" to being activated, and he'll officially rejoin the roster ahead of Tuesday's game. He's not in the starting lineup for the middle game of the set against Detroit, but he figures to return to the top or middle of the Royals' order in coming days. Ronald Bolanos was moved to the 10-day IL with a right flexor strain in a corresponding roster move.
