Story (arm) is considered day-to-day after he left Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Manager Bud Black confirmed after Thursday's doubleheader that Story's removal from the nightcap was precautionary, but he added that throwing could be a concern in the coming days. If Story misses any additional time, Brendan Rodgers could fill in at shortstop.

The White Sox anticipate that Anderson, who is dealing with a sore left thumb in additional to general body soreness, will be ready to rejoin the lineup Friday against the Orioles, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Anderson will be on the bench for the second straight day in Thursday's series opener, but the White Sox appear to be holding him out merely as a precaution. The 27-year-old had been stuck in a 3-for-30 slump over his past seven starts, so the time off should not only help him recover from his minor injuries, but it should also help him refine his approach at the plate.

Rojas will require time on the injured list after he suffered a dislocated finger Thursday, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

Rojas will undergo further testing to determine the extent of the injury, but the the team is reportedly concerned about the issue. Jose Devers stepped in at shortstop Thursday, but Jazz Chisholm (ankle) could see most of the playing time at shortstop in Rojas' absence, while Isan Diaz could see increased time at second base.

Anderson isn't in Thursday's lineup against the Orioles due to general soreness, Scot Gregor of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

Anderson is out of the lineup for the second straight game, and manager Tony La Russa said that the shortstop has "some sore spots." However, La Russa was hopeful that Anderson's absence will be temporary, so he should be considered day-to-day.

Anderson isn't starting Thursday's game against the Orioles.

The White Sox haven't indicated that Anderson is dealing with an injury, but he'll remain out of the lineup for a second straight game. Danny Mendick will start at shortstop and bat ninth.

Manager Don Mattingly said after Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies that Rojas suffered a dislocated finger during the contest, Andre Fernandez of Sirius XM Radio reports.

Mattingly acknowledged that a trip to the injured list could be a possibility for Rojas, who went 1-for-3 with a walk before being lifted in the top of the ninth inning. The Marlins will likely send Rojas in for more tests Friday before deciding whether or not an IL stint will be necessary. Jose Devers replaced Rojas in Thursday's game, but Jazz Chisholm could end up shifting over from second base to cover shortstop on an everyday basis if Rojas is forced to miss time.

Baez went 1-for-5 in Wednesday's win over the Pirates. He also struck out twice.

Baez extended his hitting streak to five games and has hit safely in 12 of his last three 13 contests, but the strikeouts continue to be an issue for him -- he has struck out in 36.4 percent of his at-bats during that stretch. The slick-fielding shortstop is hitting .275 with a .817 OPS, three homers and seven RBI during that 13-game span.

Diaz went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a win over the Dodgers.

Diaz missed three games with a tight left hamstring, but he returned to the lineup in fine fashion Wednesday, belting a two-run homer in the seventh inning. The long ball was only his second this season. Diaz has been a solid contributor overall, batting .276 and collecting 15 RBI in 94 plate appearances.

Correa went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 5-2 victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Correa took Trevor Bauer deep in the sixth inning, giving Houston a lead that it did not relinquish. The shortstop's long ball was his seventh this season and accounted for his 23rd RBI. Correa is slashing .269/.333/.440 over 201 plate appearances.
