Reyes is starting in right field and batting sixth Saturday against the Reds.

Reyes will draw a rare start after hitting a walkoff single in Friday's contest. On the other hand, he hasn't experienced much success in 82 plate appearances with the Pirates this season, hitting just .171/.232/.263 across 82 plate appearances. Melky Cabrera will get the day off to make room for Reyes.

Seager is not in Saturday's lineup against the Yankees, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Seager will sit with southpaw CC Sabathia on the mound. He's hit well of late, reaching base at least once in 14 of his past 16 starts. Chris Taylor will fill in at shortstop in Seager's place, while Jedd Gyorko will enter the lineup and draw the start at first base.

Edman went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs in a win over the Rockies on Friday.

Edman's seventh multi-hit effort of August pushed his monthly average to an impressive .293, with his season figure having risen 32 points to .273 since Aug. 9. The rookie has doubles in back-to-back games as well, and he's reached safely in seven consecutive starts.

Bogaerts went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 11-0 blanking of the Padres.

Bogaerts padded his RBI total to 96, putting him on track for a second consecutive 100-RBI season. The 26-year-old also has 27 home runs, giving him a legitimate shot for the first 30-homer season of his career.

Diaz (head) will play two games over the weekend for Triple-A Round Rock and could be activated for Tuesday's series opener against the Rays, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The plan calls for Diaz to play one game of the Express's doubleheader Saturday and another game Sunday. He'll play some at first base, third base and shortstop before he's evaluated Monday. The utility infielder got dizzy and light-headed on the team bus last week en route to Oakland, but the team's medical staff found nothing wrong with Diaz.

Anderson went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Friday's 8-3 win over Texas.

Anderson's hit safely in 10 straight contests, a stretch in which he's batting .455 with a home run, seven RBI and 12 runs scored.

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Mariners.

All three hits were singles. Bichette scored the opening run of the game, coming home on Justin Smoak's infield single in the first inning. Bichette is slashing .333/.375/.648 with seven homers, 16 runs scored and 11 RBI in his first 24 major-league games.

Gordon went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Gordon came a home run short of a cycle, lining out as the leadoff hitter in the seventh inning. It would have been an unlikely long ball, as the 31-year-old has only gone yard three times this year. He is up to five triples and 10 doubles to go with 18 stolen bases, 32 runs scored and a .282 batting average in 89 games.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a second run scored and a walk in Friday's 7-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Crawford's only hit of the game gave the Mariners a 4-3 advantage in the fifth inning, their first lead of the game. The shortstop had previous scored on a Kyle Seager double in the third inning. Crawford is 11-for-36 with two homers, nine runs scored and four RBI over his last nine games. For the year, the 24-year-old is hitting .250/.336/.418 with six homers, 40 RBI, 35 runs scored and five steals in 72 games.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over Kansas City.

Lindor left the yard in the second inning, extending his team's lead to four. Following Friday's performance, the 25-year-old has hit safely in six straight contests. He's slashing .297/.351/.517 over 110 matchups in 2019.
