Lindor went 2-for-4 with a walk, stolen base, RBI and two runs Monday in the Indians' 11-3 triumph over the White Sox.

Lindor's stolen base in the first inning was his 20th of the season, locking him in as a member of the 20-20 club for the second year in a row. The achievement is remarkable enough, but is rendered even more impressive considering Lindor didn't make his 2019 debut until April 20 while tending to a right calf strain and left ankle sprain suffered in the spring. Lindor should have ample opportunity to boost his counting stats throughout September, as he's in no danger of missing starts due to rest with the Indians locked in a tight battle for one of the American League's two available wild-card spots.

Baez (thumb) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Seattle, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Baez has been battling both a jammed left thumb and neck discomfort, so he'll be held out of the lineup for at least one more contest. The Cubs have a scheduled off day Wednesday before beginning a four-game series in Milwaukee, so Baez will benefit from an extra day of rest before his status for Chicago's upcoming series is determined.

Wendle isn't in the starting lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against Baltimore, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wendle will head to the bench with the Rays electing to implement an all-right-handed lineup against lefty Ty Blach. Matt Duffy is in line to man the hot corner and hit sixth.

Wendle went 1-for-3 with a walk and three runs in a win over the Orioles on Monday.

Wendle turned in a prototypical leadoff effort, setting the table effectively and crossing the plate on a home run by Austin Meadows and on Tommy Pham's pair of run-scoring hits. Wendle continues to scuffle at the plate overall this season, but he's hit safely in six of seven games since returning from a wrist injury.

Seager went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, two runs scored and four RBI to help the Dodgers to a 16-9 win over the Rockies on Monday.

The shortstop became one of four Dodgers to leave the yard in the game when he touched up Sam Howard with a three-run blast in the sixth inning. Seager is now slashing .268/.336/.459 with 13 homers and 65 RBI across 453 plate appearances in 2019.

Story went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a pair of runs in the Rockies' 16-9 defeat to the Dodgers on Monday.

Story officially reached the 30-homer plateau for a second straight season with a leadoff solo shot off Walker Buehler in the first inning. He's been a fantastic cross-category asset once again in 2019, as the 26-year-old is now slashing .298/.360/.561 through 125 games with 76 RBI, 34 doubles and five triples, while also stealing 19 bases in 27 attempts.

Ahmed went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk Sunday in the Diamondbacks' 4-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Though Ahmed hasn't homered since Aug. 20, he's still been hitting the ball with authority lately, notching a double in each of his past four starts. The shortstop will carry a career-best .777 OPS into Monday's series opener versus the Padres.

Gordon went 2-for-5 with a two-run single in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Gordon now has back-to-back multi-hit efforts for the first time since late June, while April 25 marked the last time he'd driven in multiple runs prior to Sunday. Gordon is only five RBI short of the second-best total of his career (36), a figure he generated just last season during his first Mariners campaign.

Manager Joe Maddon said that Baez (thumb/neck), who is out of lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners, could also be on the bench for Tuesday's series finale, Bruce Miles of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

Baez's jammed left thumb appears to be the greater concern than the neck discomfort he also experienced upon departing from Sunday's loss to the Brewers, but Maddon relayed the star infielder is merely "sore" and not dealing with anything significant. Even so, Maddon acknowledged that Baez could benefit from three straight days off -- the Cubs don't play Wednesday -- in what would amount to a de facto "All-Star break." If Baez is indeed withheld from the lineup Tuesday, he would only make four starts this week at a maximum, which might be enough to dissuade his fantasy managers from keeping him active.

The Cubs haven't provided a formal update on Baez's condition after he exited Sunday's loss to the Brewers with a jammed left thumb and neck discomfort, but he'll apparently need at least one day to move past the two injuries. The expanded September roster means the Cubs won't have to put Baez on the injured list if either issue proves to be more than a day-to-day concern, so the team can afford to proceed cautiously with the star shortstop if desired. Addison Russell will fill in for Baez in Monday's series opener.
