Correa is batting .169 (12-for-71) in the 19 games since his return from a back injury, but manager A.J. Hinch is confident the shortstop will hit his way out of the slump, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Hinch believes Correa is searching for his normal hitting rhythm and has manipulated his swing in the process. "He's putting in a lot of work trying to get his timing and rhythm back," Hinch said. The manager has no plans to drop Correa in the order or replace him in the lineup due to the slump, so fantasy owners will need to be patient until the shortstop starts hitting again.

Turner went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Brewers.

Turner poked a single in the first inning before stealing second base, his eighth stolen base of August and his MLB-leading 34th of the season. He added a double in the fifth inning and another single in the seventh frame, but the Nationals failed to bring the speedster home all three times he was on base. Turner is slashing .270/.337/.412 with 16 homers and 81 runs scored in 135 games this season.

DeJong went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, two runs and five RBI to help the Cardinals to a 12-5 victory over the Reds on Friday.

It was a monster day at the dish for DeJong, who drove in five of the Cardinals' 12 runs on the day, three of which came on a third-inning shot off Homer Bailey. He's now slashing .232/.309/.428 through 332 at-bats, which are underwhelming numbers coming off last season's breakout showing when he put up an .857 OPS. Perhaps this big showing against Cincinnati is a sign that his bat is waking up for the home stretch of the season.

Camargo went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Pirates.

He closed out August on a tear, hitting .406 (13-for-32) over the last eight games with two homers and five RBI. Camargo's first full season in the majors has been a surprisingly successful one, and the 24-year-old now boasts a .278/.357/.463 slash line to go along with 15 home runs and 64 RBI.

Baez went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in Friday's loss to the Phillies.

Baez put the Cubs up 1-0 with his solo shot in the fifth inning, though it ultimately wouldn't be enough as the Phillies went on to win 2-1 in extra innings. He added a single, marking his 12th multi-hit game in 27 games this month. The 25-year-old is making a strong case for MVP with his .295/.328/.572 slash line, 29 homers, 98 RBI and 21 stolen bases.

Lindor went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases in Friday's win over the Rays.

After reaching base via walk in the eighth inning, Lindor proceeded to steal second and third base before scoring on a single from Michael Brantley. The 24-year-old is now sitting at 22 stolen bases on the season, marking the first time in his career he's surpassed 20 steals. Lindor also has 29 homers and a .286/.363/.523 slash line through 132 games this season.

Crawford is not in the lineup against the Mets on Friday, Kerry Crowley of the Bay Area News Group reports.

Crawford will receive a breather after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts during Wednesday's game. In his place, Alen Hanson will start at shortstop.

Rojas is not in the lineup against Toronto on Friday, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas will head to the bench after going 1-for-9 during a two-game set in Boston earlier this week. Across the month of August, he's hit just .230 with a .619 OPS and failed to record a multi-hit game in 23 outings. JT Riddle will man shortstop and bat sixth in his absence.

Gordon went 2-for-4 with an RBI infield single in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.

The veteran drew the start at shortstop with Jean Segura (shin) a late scratch. Gordon manged to hit safely for the seventh time in the last eight games, but he still sports just a .205 average (17-for-83) in August largely due to a 3-for-31 tally over his first eight contests of the month.

Adrianza went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-3 loss to Cleveland.

Adrianza made the Indians pay in the fifth inning after they committed a throwing error, as he launched a two-run blast over the fence in right field. The 29-year-old is batting .260 with two home runs and seven RBI through 19 games in August. However, don't expect him to serve as much of a power threat down the stretch as he's hit just six home runs over 92 contests in 2018.
