Diaz went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, double and two runs scored Sunday against the Mariners.

Diaz took Mike Leake deep for his 14th home run of the season and accounted for the majority of the Blue Jays offense in the process. He has seen regular at-bats since Lourdes Gurriel (knee, ankle) hit the disabled list and has taken advantage by going 10-for-29 with five home runs, seven RBI and 10 runs scored since July 29. While Brandon Drury still poses a threat to take away at-bats from him, the Blue Jays could choose to continue to ride Diaz's hot bat.

Anderson went 2-for-4 with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Anderson plated two runs on the day, both on RBI singles in the second and fourth innings. He's off to a hot start through five games in August, going 6-for-18 with two doubles and three RBI. Anderson sits with 14 homers and 46 RBI through 108 contests in 2018.

Wendle went 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the White Sox.

Wendle plated a run in the first inning on a single to left, and he slugged a solo homer over the right-field fence in the fifth. He's been heating up at the dish recently, raising his batting average from .278 to .292 over his past 10 matchups. Wendle is slugging .416 with six home runs and 33 RBI through 94 games this season.

Baez went 2-for-5 with a homer, a double and two RBI in the 10-6 loss to San Diego on Sunday. He was also caught stealing.

Baez has produced a multi-hit effort in three of his five games so far in August, raising his season batting average to a terrific .300 alongside a .918 OPS. He's forcing his name into the National League MVP conversation with 24 long balls, 61 extra-base hits and 86 RBI. The 25-year-old has become an elite fantasy asset in 2018.

Crawford is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

With lefty Robbie Ray on the bump for the Diamondbacks, the Giants will counter with a right-handed-heavy lineup. That leaves no room for Crawford, who will cede his usual spot at shortstop to the switch-hitting Alen Hanson.

Gordon (ankle) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.

After suffering the right ankle injury in Thursday's series opener, Gordon returned to the lineup Friday before sitting out back-to-back days. With Gordon's ankle not responding well to the activity Friday, it appears he'll be given more time to rest before being pressed back into action. Andrew Romine will cover the keystone Sunday while Gordon continues to recuperate.

Mondesi is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins due to a pinched nerve in his shoulder, Maria Torres of The Kansas City Star reports.

Manager Ned Yost relayed that Mondesi sustained the injury while diving for a ball in Friday's series opener. The Royals exercised caution by holding Mondesi out of the starting nine Saturday and Sunday, but it doesn't appear that there's much concern the 23-year-old will require a trip to the disabled list. Alcides Escobar will fill in at shortstop while Mondesi recovers from the issue.

DeJong is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Pirates, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.

DeJong will be withheld from the starting nine for the second time in four games, with his 2-for-27 performance at the plate over the past week likely the cause of his benchings. The Cardinals won't pull the plug on a player that signed a six-year, $26 million extension back in March, so DeJong should have a long leash as the team's primary shortstop.

Turner is not in the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Turner has started the last 10 games for the Nationals -- hitting .298/.340/.511 with five extra-base hits and eight stolen bases -- but will take a seat against Reds starter Luis Castillo. Wilmer Difo will start at shortstop and bat ninth for the Nationals on Sunday.

Ahmed went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a walk, four RBI and three runs Saturday in the Diamondbacks' 9-3 win over the Giants.

With 12 home runs and 35 extra-base hits in the first half, Ahmed had already locked up a career-best season in terms of power production, but he's only enhanced his slugging output since the All-Star break. Through 15 games out of the break, Ahmed has supplied four home runs, four doubles and a triple to go along with a whopping 19 RBI. The season-ending injury to Jake Lamb (shoulder) ensures that new acquisition Eduardo Escobar won't threaten Ahmed's role as the everyday shortstop, giving the latter a fairly stable fantasy outlook for the rest of the 2018.
