Baez went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored in Friday's 13-5 win over the Cardinals.

All of the Cubs' big bats were locked in for this one, and Baez joined the fun by reaching base three times. The young infielder is now slashing .256/.292/.517 this season.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Royals.

Correa hit a solo home run -- his 12th of the year -- off starter Jake Junis in the fourth inning. Correa has now recorded a hit in seven consecutive games, three of which have been multi-hit performances. The young shortstop is hitting .275/.362/.496 with 27 extra-base hits. His 44 RBI rank third among MLB shortstops and his 43 runs are tied for fourth at the position.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and a walk in Boston's 7-6 defeat to Seattle on Friday.

The 25-year-old has now eclipsed his home-run total from last season following this third-inning blast off James Paxton, which gives him 11 through 214 at-bats. Bogaerts has complemented the uptick in power with a .280/.342/.514 slash line and is on pace for 25 long balls, which would top the career-high mark of 21 he posted in 2016 if he's able to maintain the pace.

DeJong (hand) will have a CT scan on his left hand Saturday to determine whether he's ready to begin hitting, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.

DeJong resumed light baseball activities earlier in the week, which includes taking swings against air. General manager Michael Girsch has said that the team expects DeJong's recovery -- which will still include a rehab assignment of unknown duration -- to accelerate relatively quickly from this point forward.

Cecchini hasn't played in any games for Triple-A Las Vegas since May 9 due to a foot injury, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Cecchini was optioned to Las Vegas out of spring training due to the Mets' ample infield depth, but he likely would have received the call to the big leagues at some point in the last month if he had been healthy. With Wilmer Flores (back) and T.J. Rivera (elbow) both having spent time on the disabled list and Jose Reyes batting a woeful .149/.213/.203 on the season, Luis Guillorme has settled in as the primary utility infield for the Mets over the last few weeks. While Guillorme boasts a capable glove, his .450 OPS barely amounts to an upgrade over Reyes'. As such, Cecchini -- a career .283/.348/.398 hitter in the minors -- would seemingly represent an appealing reserve option for the big club, though it's uncertain when he'll be healthy enough to contribute.

Mateo is slashing just .196/.237/.297 with 15 extra-base hits (nine doubles, six triples) over 225 plate appearances across 58 games at Triple-A Nashville.

The six three-baggers certainly is an eye-opener, but there's not much else to write home about with respect to Mateo's body of work with the Sounds thus far. After posting .300 and .292 averages, respectively, over a pair of Double-A stops in 2017 with the Yankees and Athletics organizations, the 22-year-old has found Triple-A arms exceedingly difficult to solve. That might be best summed up in his strikeout rate, which has climbed to a career-high 30.2 percent in Nashville, a near-eight-point boost from the 22.4 percent figure he'd generated at Double-A Midland last season. With Marcus Semien playing on just a one-year contract and arbitration-eligible in 2019, there was hope that Mateo could potentially be ready for a promotion by the end of this season. However, if his current numbers are any indication, he'll need substantially more seasoning before that can be realistically considered.

Gordon went 2-for-3 and was caught stealing on his only attempt in a loss to the Red Sox on Thursday. He's now 6-for-15 with two runs over his last three games.

The mini-surge has quickly boosted Gordon's average 11 points to .286 after a recent multi-game slump. It was recently revealed by general manager Jerry Dipoto that Gordon won't necessarily have to endure yet another position switch back to the outfield when Robinson Cano (hand, suspension) makes his expected mid-August return. However, the need to still afford the latter -- who wouldn't be eligible for postseason play under the terms of his current suspension -- some playing time down the stretch might result in Gordon getting some occasional time off in anticipation of a playoff run.

Wendle went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a stolen base in a loss to the Yankees on Thursday.

Wendle got the Rays to within 4-3 with his sixth-inning single that plated Jake Bauers, his third RBI over the past four games. The 28-year-old has proven to be a valuable offseason addition, providing a bit of everything offensively while also serving as a solid and versatile defensive asset in the infield. Factoring in Thursday's production, he sports a solid .278 average, a number partly comprised of 11 extra-base hits (nine doubles, three triples, two home runs).

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Mariners.

Bogaerts took Felix Hernandez deep in the sixth inning for his 10th home run of the season. That matches his home run output from last season, and his slugging percentage sits over 100 points higher than his mark in the 2017 season. While he's taken a step back from his sizzling early season start, Bogaerts ranks in the top-10 among shortstops in home runs, doubles and batting average.

Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a stolen base and two runs scored in Thursday's 5-2 win against the White Sox.

That's now 15 home runs and nine stolen bases on the season for Lindor, who displayed his whole skill set in this one. The 24-year-old switch hitter hadn't hit a long ball since his multi-homer performance on May 31 and has hit just .220 (11-for-50) thus far in June. Look for this solid outing to help Lindor bust out of that rut.
