DeJong is out of the lineup Thursday against the Marlins.

DeJong will retreat to the bench for the series finale against Miami following three consecutive starts. With Jedd Gyorko (leg) back in the lineup and playing third base, the Redbirds will place Greg Garcia in at short and give Matt Carpenter a day at second.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to Texas.

The Red Sox bats, which have been so productive lately, were shut down by the Rangers' Andrew Cashner, who did not allow a hit over his first 5.2 innings. The homer was Bogaerts' sixth of the season and first in 11 games. Despite what appears to be a drop in power, as measured by his home run total, Bogaerts has posted a career-high .455 slugging through 79 games.

Correa (thumb) will be available off the bench Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Manager A.J. Hinch said the Astros were exercising precaution by holding Correa out of the starting lineup Wednesday, one day after the All-Star shortstop jammed his left thumb into a catcher's shin guard. "He's doing fine," Hinch said. "He arguably should play, but he's not." This news bodes well for Correa's availability Thursday.

Ramirez was chosen by the players to make his second All-Star Game appearance at next week's event in Miami.

Interestingly enough, Lindor got the vote despite having a drastically down year compared to his first two big-league seasons. His batting average and on-base percentage are significantly down from 2016, and the shortstop is on pace to log a career high in strikeouts while notching a career low in stolen bases. That said, Lindor has posted a .321/.370/.477 slash line after the All-Star break over the last two seasons, so fantasy owners have reason to remain optimistic.

Story is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Reds, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Story has just a .488 OPS over the past 14 games, so he'll head to the bench for a night off. Pat Valaika will take over at shortstop for the evening.

Correa (thumb) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Braves, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa left Tuesday's game after injuring himself on a headfirst slide into home plate, and is currently dealing with a left thumb injury. Although the shortstop received clean test results from the X-rays, the team will give him the day off while Marwin Gonzalez draws the start in his stead. He should be considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup for Thursday's series opener in Toronto.

Swanson is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros.

Swanson finally showed signs of life at the plate last month, batting .306 in 28 games. However, he's been scuffling a bit as of late, and given the fact that he hasn't sat out since the beginning of June, he'll hit the bench Wednesday. Johan Camargo will pick up a start at shortstop in his stead.

Diaz was traded to the Yankees on Wednesday.

Diaz is toiling through a rough season in the minors, batting just .182/.348/.239 through 37 games, but the Yankees will bring him back after he spent all of 2016 with their Triple-A affiliate, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 32-year-old likely serves as organizational depth, as he hasn't made big-league appearance since 2015.

Gordon went 3-for-5 with a double and a run in Tuesday's win over St. Louis.

He'd been in a slump over his last 12 games, going only 9-for-43 (.209) with two steals, one RBI and two runs, so this was a welcome turnaround for Gordon's fantasy owners. While his power essentially doesn't exist, Gordon has been a high-quality provider of steals aside from his recent slowdown, as he's sitting on 29 for the season, third in baseball behind only Trea Turner and Billy Hamilton.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer against the Tigers on Tuesday.

He'd been brutalizing his fantasy owners recently, but especially during the span since his last homer, which came in Colorado on June 18 -- over a dozen games between then and Tuesday, Crawford managed to go just 6-for-51 (.118) with zero extra-base hits and a 1:12 BB:K. While the league has been experiencing a never-before-seen surge of home runs, Crawford has seen his own power output decline precipitously since his 21-homer 2015 campaign. There isn't much to like in his fantasy line right now.
