Turner went 1-for-5 with a home run in the Nationals' 8-3 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Turner had been hitless in the first two games of the series against the Marlins, a slump by his standards this year. Turner has done it all for the Nationals since being called up from Triple-A, hitting .342 with 12 home runs and 27 steals in 62 games for the Nationals.

Noonan was designated for assignment on Wednesday.

He had a brief opportunity earlier this year to get some traction as the Padres' starting shortstop, but that quickly evaporated. Noonan has a career .193/.239/.234 slash line in 155 big league plate appearances, and at 27 years old, there's little hope he'll turn into more than organizational filler.

Crawford (pinkie) will sit out Wednesday's game, but will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis going forward, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.

After leaving Tuesday's game with a dislocated left pinkie suffered on a slide into third base, his finger was popped back into place. Crawford acknowledged that his finger will be swollen and sore Wednesday, and manager Bruce Bochy indicated that Ehire Adrianza will get at least one start at shortstop while Crawford heals. Joe Panik apparently missed three games with the same injury last year, but the fact that Crawford throws right-handed and the Giants are battling for a playoff spot might allow him to miss less than three games.

Crawford left Tuesday's game with a dislocated left pinkie finger.

It is unclear how much time Crawford will miss with the injury. For what it's worth, he bats left-handed and throws right-handed, so after the injury is tended to, it shouldn't affect his ability to play the field. He suffered the injury on a rough slide into third base in the second inning of Tuesday's game while trying to go first to third after singling. Ehire Adrianza, who moved over to shortstop Tuesday, figures to fill in if Crawford misses further time.

Crawford left Tuesday's game in the second inning with an apparent hand/wrist injury after a hard slide at third base, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.

He tried to go first to third on a Brandon Belt hit after singling in the second inning and was gunned out at third base while also injuring himself during the slide. Joe Panik entered the game at second base and Ehire Adrianza moved from second base to shortstop. His status will be updated when the team provides an official diagnosis of the injury.

Diaz is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.

After not being expected to start at the beginning of spring training, Diaz has become one of the best hitting shortstops in the league. Despite that, the all-star will get the night off and cede Tuesday's start at shortstop to Jedd Gyorko.

Swanson went 3-for-5 with a steal, three RBI and a run as the No. 8 hitter in Monday's win over the Mets.

The 2015 No. 1 overall pick is now hitting .305 in his first 95 at-bats, although he's shown only modest pop and speed so far (two homers, two steals). The 22-year-old Swanson hit only .261 with eight homers in 84 Double-A games, so he's not a good bet for sustained fantasy value in his first taste of the majors, but the former Vanderbilt star is a promising asset for next season.

Sardinas is not in the lineup Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Sardinas has been swinging a hot bat of late (eight hits over his past six games), but he'll head to the bench for a regular day off. Adam Rosales will take over as the shortstop for Monday night's matchup.

Owings went 2-for-7 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 10-9 win over the Dodgers.

Owings helped Arizona prevail in 12 innings, doubling home a run in the fourth and smacking a game-tying two-run homer in the eighth. The 25-year-old hasn't shown great power with only four homers and 24 doubles this season, but he's flashed more pop lately with a dozen extra-base hits over his last 19 games. He's slashing .284/.325/.433 in 388 at-bats.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Mariners.

Correa plated Houston's second run with his seventh-inning blast off Ariel Miranda. The home run was the first of the month for Correa, who also notched his first multi-hit game of September. The 21-year-old phenom has now cleared 20 home runs in each of his first two seasons, although it took him 141 games this year compared to 92 last year. Despite the reduced power production, he's still one of the better fantasy options at shortstop with 92 RBI, 13 steals and a .272/.361/.458 slash line.
