Gordon went 2-for-5 with two runs and two steals Sunday at the Giants.

Gordon's speed on the bases was critical in a game the Marlins would only win by a single run. Although the speedster has six steals on the season, these were the first he's recorded in his last six games.

Bogaerts (wrist) will return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Astros, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.

Bogaerts skipped Saturday's game after being hit in the wrist Friday -- although he was available off the bench as a defensive replacement -- but it appears the night off did him well. The 23-year-old shortstop will return to the lineup Sunday and hit in his usual spot (third) in the order. Bogaerts can be deployed normally in both season-long and daily lineups, as there's nothing to suggest he's limited in any capacity.

Diaz was a perfect 5-for-5 against San Diego on Saturday, with two doubles, a run scored, and two RBI in the win.

He's been shaky defensively but absolutely scorching at the plate for the Cardinals since stepping in at shortstop following injuries to Jhonny Peralta (hand) and Ruben Tejada. Diaz is slashing an incredible .467/.500/.822 in 45 at-bats, and while it's clear he won't continue at this pace, the 25-year-old has likely forced his way into the everyday lineup for the foreseeable future.

Crawford went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and a pair of doubles in Friday's win over the Marlins.

Prior to Friday's output, Crawford was batting .191 (4-for-21) since returning from a minor hip injury April 16. This could be a sign that he is seeing the ball well and about to go on one of his patented hot streaks.

Arcia went 2-for-4 with a run, RBI, and walk in Triple-A Colorado Springs 8-7 win over Nashville on Friday.

Arcia's two-hit performance upped his season BA to .283 as he continues to show he can produce at higher minor league levels. At Double-A Biloxi last year, the highly touted prospect batted .307 with 74 runs and 69 RBI over 512 at-bats. If he transitions well to Triple-A Colorado Springs and manufactures numbers like last year's, it shouldn't be long before the young shortstop finds his way to the majors.

Bogaerts (wrist) will not be available to hit Saturday but he could enter the game as an emergency defensive replacement, Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports.

Bogaerts was hit on the wrist by a pitch Friday and will not be in the lineup for Saturday's tilt in Houston. Given that he's only going to be available Saturday as an emergency option, his status going into the series finale Sunday is murky at best. That said, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe is reporting that Bogaerts does not believe a stint on the disabled list is in the realm of possibility.

Bogaerts left Friday's game after being hit on the wrist by a Luke Gregerson offering, and although X-rays on the area came back negative, he will get the day off Saturday. Brock Holt will slide over to cover shortstop Saturday with Bogaerts sitting out, but he could return to the order for Sunday's series finale. However, Bogaerts did note that he doesn't have much mobility in the wrist, and he'll avoid swinging a bat Saturday, so a return Sunday is certainly no lock.

Seager went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a pair of walks in Friday's loss to the Rockies.

The young shortstop hadn't notched a multi-hit game in nearly two weeks, but Coors Field predictably aided his performance at the plate Friday. Seager has struggled to begin his first full season in the majors, but both of his homers have come in the last six games and he could be showing signs of an awakening.

X-rays on Bogaerts' wrist came back negative after Friday's game, the Boston Globe's Pete Abraham reports.

He was 2-for-4 with a double before leaving Friday's game against Houston after getting hit on the right wrist by a 89 mph fastball from Luke Gregerson. Bogaerts could move his wrist freely after the game, and the injured wrist was not wrapped when he spoke to reporters, but he admitted that it would probably be pretty sore when he woke up Saturday. It would not be surprising for the Red Sox to give him a game or two off, in which case Brock Holt or Josh Rutledge would have to step in at shortstop.

Baez was 2-for-4 with three runs scored, a stolen base, and a solo home run in the Cubs' win over the Reds on Friday night.

Baez is now hitting a robust .353 since being activated off the disabled list last week. The home run and the stolen base were each his first of the season, but he seems right at home at the plate, and has already appeared at second base, shortstop, and third base in the field.
