Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Three hits, steal in loss
Neto went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Blue Jays.
Over the last seven games, Neto has produced three hits four times and gone hitless in the other three contests in that span. The shortstop is batting .348 (16-for-46) over 12 games in August, and eight of those knocks have gone for extra bases, though all of his hits Tuesday were singles. For the year, Neto has a .266/.330/.463 slash line, 17 home runs, 22 steals, 61 RBI and 54 runs scored over 117 games.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Big night in return to lineup
Abrams went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Orioles.
Abrams looked healthy after missing three games due to back spasms, smacking two hard hits and swiping his 21st bag of the season. He's gone just 8-for-35 in nine August contests but does have four extra-base hits, seven RBI and six runs scored in that span. On the year, the 23-year-old is hitting .254 with 17 homers, 59 RBI and 71 runs scored across 488 plate appearances.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Goes deep in easy win
Baez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 15-1 win over the Mariners.
Baez connected for his fifth home run of the season and first this month. It's been a huge struggle overall for the shortstop, as he's still batting just .182 with a .508 OPS after Tuesday's contest. The OPS would be a new career worst for Baez. The 31-year-old's six-year, $140 million contract, which was signed before the 2022 season, continues to look like a massive sunk cost for the Tigers, though it figures to keep Baez locked into a starting job for the immediate future.

Jacob Wilson SS | ATH
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Approaching rehab assignment
Wilson (hamstring) will travel to Triple-A Las Vegas this week to continue his rehab, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Assuming Wilson doesn't run into any setbacks, the expectation is that he could begin playing in rehab games with the Aviators by Saturday. The A's haven't yet decided how long they'll keep the 22-year-old in the minors, but beginning an assignment Saturday would give him plenty of time to potentially return to action with Oakland before the end of the month.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Back in lineup
Abrams (back) is batting second and playing shortstop Tuesday against Baltimore.
Abrams had missed three consecutive games due to back spasms but the issue has subsided, and he's back in the Nationals' lineup. The 23-year-old is slashing .249/.320/.448 with 20 stolen bases across 483 plate appearances.
-
Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Good to go Tuesday
Witt (forearm) is starting at shortstop and batting second Tuesday against the Twins.
The 24-year-old departed Monday's contest after being hit by a pitch in the left forearm, but he's back in the starting nine a day later. Witt has continued to mash during the first half of August with four homers, 12 RBI, 10 runs and a .333/.383/.738 slash line through 10 games.

Daniel Schneemann 2B | CLE
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: On bench against RHP
Schneemann is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.
Schneemann will yield to Brayan Rocchio at shortstop Tuesday despite right-hander Javier Assad starting for Chicago. Schneemann is 5-for-19 (.263) in August and has a .714 OPS on the year.

Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL
Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Swipes 22nd bag
Kim went 2-for-3 with a stolen base in a 2-1 win against Pittsburgh on Monday.
It was a quiet game offensively for both sides, and Kim was the only Padre with multiple hits. The knocks didn't directly produce any runs, but the shortstop did add to his fantasy line with a stolen base in the eighth inning. Kim is up to 22 thefts on the campaign, giving him a realistic chance of reaching 30 steals for the second straight season.
-
Leonardo Jimenez SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Leo Jimenez: First big-league homer
Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Monday's 4-2 win over the Angels.
In his 30th MLB game, Jimenez finally logged a roundtripper, taking Davis Daniel yard in the third inning for a two-run homer. The 23-year-old shortstop is slashing .224/.309/.341 across 97 plate appearances with a 30.9 percent strikeout rate. He's been the Blue Jays' primary shortstop since Bo Bichette (calf) went down but could cede playing time to Ernie Clement now that infielder Will Wagner is with the big-league club.

Mookie Betts RF | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Belts homer in return
Betts went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an RBI single and a stolen base during Monday's 5-2 win over the Brewers.
Despite spending nearly two months on the injured list due to a fractured left hand and not going on a rehab assignment, Betts didn't show any rust Monday. Instead, he clubbed a two-run homer off Freddy Peralta in the third inning and plated Shohei Ohtani on a single in the seventh. Betts is slashing .307/.406/.498 with 11 homers across 335 plate appearances.
