Atlanta reinstated Arcia (wrist) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll start at shortstop and bat eighth in Atlanta's series finale with Baltimore.

Since he's been sidelined since April 12 with a microfracture in his left wrist, Arcia was expected to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment prior to returning from the IL, but Atlanta was comfortable enough with how the infielder checked out during workouts the last two days to expedite his activation. Atlanta sent Vaughn Grissom to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding transaction, clearing the way for Arcia to step back in as the team's everyday shortstop. Prior to injuring his wrist, Arcia had slashed .333/.400/.511 with two home runs, 10 runs and seven RBI over 50 plate appearances.

Turner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to Boston.

Turner accounted for the final run of the contest with a solo shot to left field in the seventh inning. He extended his hitting streak to seven games, though this was the first time during the streak that he's collected multiple hits. Turner may not be entirely living up to the 11-year, $300 million contract he signed in the offseason just yet, but he's been fine with a .262/.301/.414 slash line, four homers, nine RBI, 20 runs and four stolen bases though 153 plate appearances.

Witt went 1-for-6 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Athletics.

The homer was Witt's second in the last four games. He's notched five RBI in that span, and he's scored at least one run in each of his last seven contests. The shortstop is slashing .234/.276/.445 with six homers, 15 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight stolen bases through 33 games this season.

Neto (finger) is expected to get a day off Sunday versus the Rangers, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Neto went 0-for-3 with a strikeout and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Rangers, starting a third straight game with a bruised finger. Manager Phil Nevin said after the game that he wants to give Neto a day off Sunday, leaving Gio Urshela and Luis Rengifo as options that could see a start at shortstop in the series finale with Texas.

Pena went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Mariners.

Pena had gone five games without an extra-base hit prior to Saturday. This was his second three-hit game of the season, though he's also racked up six strikeouts over his last four contests. The shortstop is slashing .252/.300/.458 with six home runs, 18 RBI, 22 runs scored, nine doubles and six stolen bases through 33 games.

Tovar went 3-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Mets.

His sixth-inning shot off Stephen Nogosek capped the scoring for the Rockies on the day. Tovar has found a groove at the plate after a tough first few weeks of 2023, and over his last 12 games the 21-year-old shortstop is batting .333 (14-for-42) with four doubles, a triple and both his homers on the year, along with nine runs and nine RBI.

Abrams is not in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Abrams is hitting .323 with one home run and one steal over his last 10 games. Ildemaro Vargas is starting at shortstop and batting ninth.

Perdomo will sit Saturday against southpaw MacKenzie Gore and the Nationals.

13 of Arizona's first 33 games have come against lefties, and Perdomo has sat against every single one. As usual, Nick Ahmed will take over at shortstop in his absence.

Edman will sit Saturday against the Tigers, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Edman started 20 of the Cardinals' first 21 games at shortstop, but his playing time has taken a hit since Paul DeJong was recalled in late April. In 13 games with DeJong on the roster, Edman has started five times at second base and four times at shortstop while finding himself on the bench on four occasions. DeJong starts at shortstop Saturday with Brendan Donovan starting at second base.

Velazquez (undisclosed) was placed on the minor-league 7-day IL on Tuesday, per the Salt Lake Bees' official site.

The exact nature of Velazquez's injury hasn't been clarified, though the issue appears to have occurred on a swing he took in the fifth inning during a game April 28. Velazquez left that contest early and hasn't played since. The shortstop is slashing .182/.316/.348 with two homers, six RBI and five stolen bases over 82 plate appearances with Salt Lake this season.
