Narvaez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Connor Wong will draw a second straight start behind the dish while Narvaez remains on the bench for the series opener. Narvaez started twice in the Red Sox's four-game series versus the Rays over the weekend, going 3-for-6 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run.

Kreidler will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Monday's game in Cleveland.

The Twins will include Kreidler in the starting nine for the third game in a row, and he looks poised to operate as the team's everyday shortstop for the time being after Tristan Gray was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday. Kreidler maintains a respectable .738 OPS over 151 plate appearances on the season, but he's slashing just .162/.205/.189 with zero home runs or stolen bases, four runs and one RBI while striking out at a 28.2 percent clip over 12 games thus far in July.

Halpin will start in center field and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Twins.

Halpin will occupy center field for the fifth time in past six games after he recorded exactly one hit in each of his last four starts while chipping in a pair of steals. He appears to have a grip on a strong-side platoon role in the Cleveland outfield for the time being, though Halpin will be at risk of a move to the bench or a demotion to Triple-A Columbus once Angel Martinez (foot) returns from the 10-day injured list.

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Cleveland.

Keaschall had started eight straight in center field and 13 straight overall, but Byron Buxton is back from the injured list Monday and will be flanked in center field by Trevor Larnach and Alan Roden. The 23-year-old Keaschall is off to a great start in July, slashing .405/.510/.622.

Arias is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

The Guardians will go with Daniel Schneemann at third base while Arias retreats to the bench for the series opener. Arias had covered the hot corner in four of Cleveland's previous five games, going 5-for-15 with a walk, two stolen bases and two runs during that stretch.

Jeffers is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Cleveland.

Jeffers had started each of the last four tilts -- including three at catcher -- so he'll get some rest Monday. Victor Caratini will be behind the dish in the series opener.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Manzardo will head to the bench for just the second time in July while the Guardians go with David Fry at first base and Rhys Hoskins at designated hitter. Over his last 13 games, Manzardo has gone just 3-for-41 (.073 average) with a 31.9 percent strikeout rate.

Watson is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Watson had started 10 of the last 11 contests, and the one he didn't start during that stretch was the second leg of a doubleheader. He'll get a breather for Monday's series opener while Chase DeLauter handles right field and Rhys Hoskins is deployed at designated hitter.

The Royals signed Bummer to a minor-league contract Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Bummer held a 7.63 ERA in 19 appearances for Atlanta earlier this season and has permitted four runs with a 6:2 K:BB over six innings during his time in the minors in 2026. The lefty reliever had a 26.9 percent strikeout rate in his first eight major-league seasons, but his strikeouts and velocity have both been down the last two years.

Alvarez went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles.

The Astros ended up getting swept during their first series coming out of the All-Star break, but Alvarez did his part to keep the offense afloat. He contributed run-scoring doubles in all three contests of the series, boosting his American League-leading RBI total to 73. Alvarez is also pacing the AL in home runs (31) and ranks first among qualified hitters in batting average (.319), putting him in strong position to become the majors' first Triple Crown winner since Miguel Cabrera in 2012.
