Naylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

The left-handed-hitting Naylor will hit the bench for a second straight game while the Guardians face off against another southpaw (Steven Matz) in the series opener with Tampa Bay. Austin Hedges will handle catching duties Monday.

Garver went 0-for-1 in his lone plate appearance Sunday in the 3-2 win against the Cardinals.

Garver came in as a pinch-hitter in the ninth and struck out right after his teammate Rob Refsnyder hit the go-ahead home run. The 2019 Silver Slugger is operating as the primary backup catcher to Cal Raleigh, and has gotten most of his starts against left-handed pitching. The 35-year-old had a rough last two seasons for the Mariners but won the backup catcher job out of spring training, but will not see a ton of playing time due to Raleigh's superior defense behind the plate.

Zeferjahn went 1.2 innings allowing no runs and zero hits while striking out one batter in an 11-9 loss in extra innings to Kansas City on Sunday.

Zeferjahn entered the game in the seventh inning and picked up his third hold of the season. The right-hander was able to maintain the 7-5 lead before Drew Pomeranz blew the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, sending the game into extra innings. The 28-year-old had one of his better outings after previously allowing at least one earned run in five of his first nine appearances this campaign.

Yarbrough pitched a perfect inning while striking out two batters in a 7-4 loss to Houston on Sunday.

Yarbrough entered the game in the eighth inning, striking out both Christian Walker and Cam Smith en route to a scoreless inning. Prior to the series against Houston, the 34-year-old had struggled in his previous two appearances, allowing a combined five earned runs over 3.1 innings pitched. The left-hander has not seen much volume, appearing in only seven games through the first month of the season for New York.

Bazardo got his first win of the season Sunday when he pitched 1.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout in the 3-2 win over the Cardinals.

Bazardo was a revelation out of the bullpen for the Mariners last season ending the year with 73 appearances and a 2.52 ERA and a 82:27 K:BB over 78.2 frames. The right-hander already has appeared in 13 games so far in 2026 despite a bullpen that boasts a lot of big names such as Anthony Munoz and Gabe Speier. So far, Bazardo has been thrown into high-leverage situations accumulating three holds and a win and a loss this season.

Nett was reinstated from Triple-A Las Vegas' 7-day injured list Saturday and worked in long relief Sunday in the team's 4-0 win over Salt Lake, striking out five over 3.2 scoreless innings while yielding one hit and one walk.

Nett missed the first month of the season while recovering from a rotator cuff injury, but he looked sharp while piggybacking starter Mason Barnett in his 2026 debut. Once he gets fully stretched out, Nett should settle into a spot in the Las Vegas rotation, and he may not have to wait long before receiving his first call-up to the majors. Nett was added to the Athletics' 40-man roster over the winter after submitting a 3.75 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 116:48 K:BB in 105.2 innings at the Double-A level in 2025.

Herrin allowed no runs in one inning and tallied a strikeout in the 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Herrin has been used in a mostly low-leverage reliever role in his 10 appearances so far out of the Guardians bullpen as one of the two consistent lefties. The 29-year-old appeared in 75 regular-season games in 2024, but that went down to 54 regular-season games in 2025 while his ERA shot up to 4.85 from 1.92 and his WHIP to 1.57 from 0.92. Walks are still a problem in the small sample size that Herrin has shown this season, as he's thrown four in 6.2 innings after compiling a difficult 6.3 BB/9 last season.

DeJong informed the Yankees on Monday that he will opt out of his minor-league contract at the end of April if he's not promoted to the majors, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

DeJong has posted a .900 OPS with six home runs over 22 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. However, with Anthony Volpe (shoulder) poised for activation from the injured list this week, the Yankees may have a tough time squeezing DeJong onto the big-league roster.

Weiss appears in line to move to the Houston bullpen after Kai-Wei Teng was named the team's starter for Tuesday's game in Baltimore, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Weiss was ineffective in two starts after entering the Astros rotation, allowing a total of four runs on eight hits and eight walks over seven innings. Teng isn't fully stretched out to handle a typical starter's workload, so Weiss could be needed in long relief Tuesday. Weiss has collected a 6.50 ERA, 2.17 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB over 18 innings covering two starts and five relief outings this season.

Teng has been named the Astros' starting pitcher for Tuesday's game in Baltimore, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Tuesday had been Ryan Weiss' turn in the rotation, but Weiss appears headed back to the bullpen. Teng has pitched well as a multi-inning reliever this season, collecting a 2.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB across 16.2 frames. The right-hander made seven starts last season for the Giants and was deployed mostly as a starting pitcher in the minors, so he shouldn't require a lengthy period of time to get fully stretched out. However, with Tatsuya Imai (arm) poised to return from the injured list, Teng's stint in the rotation could be brief.
