Guerrero went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

It's the third three-hit performance in the last seven games for Guerrero, although only three of his 11 knocks during that span (two doubles and a homer) have gone for extra bases. The first baseman isn't supplying his usual power yet this season with just two home runs and 14 RBI in 27 contests, but his .340 batting average is second in the American League behind Yordan Alvarez's .358 mark, and Guerrero's .426 OBP is third behind Alvarez and Ben Rice.

Lopez allowed one earned run on one hit and two walks over one-plus inning out of the bullpen in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rangers. He struck out one.

With his turn in the rotation set to be skipped during the Athletics' upcoming three-game series against the Royals, Lopez was deployed out of the bullpen Sunday and produced mixed results. The southpaw entered in the fifth inning and tossed a scoreless frame, but allowed a run and multiple baserunners without recording an out in the sixth inning, leaving Justin Sterner to work out of the jam. Lopez has been disappointing to begin 2026, posting a 5.84 ERA and 1.95 WHIP with a 2-1 record across 24.2 innings. He's tentatively lined up to re-enter the rotation next weekend against the Guardians, though his next start remains unconfirmed.

Sterner (1-2) earned the win in Sunday's 2-1 victory over the Rangers. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two over a scoreless inning.

Entering for Jacob Lopez after he failed to record an out in the sixth inning, Sterner worked out of a bases-loaded jam to preserve a one-run lead that the Athletics held the rest of the way. With starter J.T. Ginn (shoulder) exiting after 3.1 innings and Joel Kuhnel and Lopez combining to provide limited length and effectiveness, the official scorer awarded Sterner the win, his first of the season. Since allowing four runs in a blown save against the Rangers on April 16, the 29-year-old has turned in five scoreless innings and owns a 3.07 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with an 18:5 K:BB across 14.2 innings in 2026.

Duran batted leadoff and went 0-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Orioles.

Duran remained the leadoff hitter even with the return of Roman Anthony from a sore back. Anthony has been Boston's primary leadoff batter this season. It was the third time in the last five games that Duran was atop the order, all coming against right-handers. With a managerial change -- Chad Tracy replaced Alex Cora following Saturday's game -- more changes could be coming.

Anthony batted third and went 0-for-3 with a walk in Sunday's 5-3 win over Baltimore.

Anthony returned to action after missing four games due to a sore back. After serving as Boston's primary leadoff hitter to open the season, he was dropped to third in order in the first game under the leadership of interim manager Chad Tracy. Jarren Duran worked out of the leadoff spot for the Red Sox.

Kwan started in center field and went 1-for-5 in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Kwan had missed the last two games -- Friday was a planned day off and Saturday due to neck stiffness. He was back in the familiar leadoff spot, but less familiar is Kwan's career-low .225 average and .310 on-base percentage. A Gold Glove winner as a left fielder, Kwan has added center field to his resume this season, but manager Stephen Vogt deflected questions Saturday as to whether the new position is affecting Kwan's bat. In addition to the career lows in average and OBP, Kwan is below normal in hard-hit percentage (9.2) and average exit velocity (82.0 mph), and his percentage of weak contact has more than doubled compared to last year.

Sanchez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a sacrifice fly in Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Guardians.

After driving in a run with a sac fly in the first inning, Sanchez put the Jays ahead for good in the sixth inning with his two-run shot off Slade Cecconi, his fourth long ball this year. Sanchez has been swinging the bat well of late, logging at least one hit in four of his last five games -- he's gone 4-for-13 (.308) with a pair of homers in that span. The 28-year-old outfielder is batting .266 with a .771 OPS and 15 RBI through 26 games this season.

Basallo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Basallo, who started at catcher Sunday due to Adley Rutschman serving as the DH, got the Orioles on the board in the fifth inning with a 392-foot blast off Connelly Early, Basallo's fifth homer of the season and first against a left-handed pitcher. The 21-year-old has now homered in back-to-back starts while going 6-for-9 in that span. He's boosted his slash line to .233/.325/.452 with eight RBI and 10 runs scored through his first 83 plate appearances this season.

Yates (knee) has made three minor-league rehab outings since April 17, giving up a combined seven runs on seven hits while posting a 5:1 K:BB over three innings.

Yates' rehab appearances have been spread out, as he's had at least two days off between each outing. The veteran reliever has given up at least one run in each of his one-inning appearances and has served up two homers across his three frames. It's not clear how long the Angels plan to keep Yates on his rehab assignment, and his struggles may not be helping his cause for rejoining the big-league roster in short order. After Jordan Romano was designated for assignment Sunday, the Angels' closer situation is extremely murky, and Yates is a clear candidate to take on the role given his 98 career regular-season saves. However, the club may want to see Yates put together some better outings before feeling comfortable handing him the ball in the ninth inning of close contests.

Rodriguez (shoulder) threw to live hitters in Arizona on Friday, and the Angels are evaluating how he came out of that session before determining the next step in his throwing program, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Rodriguez reportedly threw the equivalent of three innings in the live session Friday. The right-handed hurler felt "good" while throwing, according to manager Kurt Suzuki, but the team still wants to see how he recovers before determining his next step. Rodriguez could be headed for a minor-league rehab stint soon, and there's a chance he'll be able to join the Angels sometime in May.
