Peters went 2-for-3 with a triple and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Astros.

Peters had a five-game homer streak in late August, but since it ended, he's cooled off by going just 4-for-18 with one extra-base hit over his last six games. The outfielder was able to provide a little speed boost in this contest, though that hasn't been a steady part of his production throughout the year. He's 8-for-10 on the basepaths this year while hitting .279 with an .813 OPS, 12 home runs, 52 RBI, 54 runs scored, 27 doubles and four triples over 134 contests.

Martin allowed five hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Wednesday.

Martin missed just under three weeks due to a blister on his right middle finger but returned to action Wednesday with no apparent issues. The right-hander put in a good performance, but he wasn't quite as sharp as opposing starter Hayden Wesneski, who turned in seven scoreless frames in the pitching duel. Martin's performance was volatile prior to his absence, as he carried an 8.03 ERA over 24.2 innings across his previous six starts. He's posted a 4.13 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 114:40 K:BB through 130.2 innings over 25 starts this year. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Pirates.

Varsho went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the White Sox.

Varsho had gone 0-for-11 over his previous three games. The outfielder was given some rest Tuesday and broke the short slump in Wednesday's contest while picking up his first steal since Aug. 5. Between Houston and Toronto this year, Varsho is batting .228 with a .653 OPS, 10 home runs, 11 steals, 36 RBI, 46 runs scored, 22 doubles and two triples over 125 contests.

Hader struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the White Sox.

Hader threw eight of 14 pitches for strikes. He's been at his best throughout 2026, and that's been especially true during his ongoing 20-inning scoreless streak, during which he's allowed just five hits and three walks. Hader is at a 0.72 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 49:11 K:BB while remaining a perfect 22-for-22 in save chances over 37.1 innings.

Wesneski allowed one hit, two walks and one hit batsman while striking out five over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Wednesday.

Wesneski threw 58 of 90 pitches for strikes while matching his longest outing of the season by innings. He was just alright initially after his return from Tommy John surgery in late July, but he's taken a dominant turn with just one run allowed over his last 17 innings, during which he has a 15:7 K:BB. Wesneski is at a 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB through 39.2 innings over seven starts this year. He's lined up for another challenging matchup early next week in Philadelphia.

Jansen was charged with a blown save Wednesday against the Twins, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Jansen was summoned to record the game's final five outs in a bases-loaded situation in the eighth inning, but he was unable to extricate Detroit from the jam and mustered only one out before being pulled. The veteran right-hander remains seven saves away from joining the illustrious 500-save club, so he'll need a very productive rest of September in order to accomplish that feat in 2026. Through 36 innings this year, he has a 4.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 42:21 K:BB with 17 saves in 23 opportunities.

Peck went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in Wednesday's 11-6, extra-innings win over the Twins.

Peck delivered a double in the second inning, which was his first major-league hit and plated his first two runs. The 24-year-old just got called up from Triple-A Toledo on Monday, and it appears that he's going to get a long look at shortstop, with fellow rookies Kevin McGonigle and Hao-Yu Lee settling in at third base and second base, respectively. Peck could help secure himself a regular role with the Tigers in 2027 if he finishes this year with a flourish.

Anderson took a no-decision against the Twins on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander continues to give the Tigers serviceable work since joining the rotation following the trades of Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize. Anderson has tallied at least four punchouts in five consecutive starts, giving up three runs or fewer each time out. He also threw a season-high 90 pitches Wednesday, suggesting he's ready to handle a full starter's workload going forward. Anderson is set to bring a season 3.73 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 101:37 K:BB over 91.2 innings into a home rematch with Minnesota.

Kremer took a no-decision against the Tigers on Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks in four-plus innings. He struck out five.

Detroit did its damage in the second and fifth innings, plating a pair of runs in each frame. After giving up just one run in each of his first two starts with the Twins, Kremer has since conceded at least four runs in three of his past four outings. The right-hander will try to right the ship in a rematch with the Tigers in Detroit, where he'll bring a 4.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 28:13 K:BB over 30.2 innings with Minnesota.

Clark went 3-for-4 with two walks, three doubles, an RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's 11-6, extra-innings win over the Twins.

Clark came into the contest batting just .179 in his previous 10 games, but he broke out of his slump in a big way Wednesday. The rookie outfielder became the first Detroit player with three doubles in a game since Miguel Cabrera back in 2018. Clark has been a bit up and down since making his MLB debut back on July 31, though the 21-year-old has certainly flashed signs of his immense potential with a .766 OPS through his first 30 contests.
