Berrios (elbow) is scheduled to face hitters in live batting practice again Tuesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Over the weekend, Berrios faced hitters for the first time since being diagnosed in mid-March with a stress fracture in his right elbow and apparently responded well. He'll repeat the activity Tuesday, and if all goes well, the veteran right-hander could then be sent out on a minor-league rehab assignment. Heading into spring training, Berrios had been on the outside looking in for a starting role with the big club, but with injuries having tested Toronto's pitching depth through the first two weeks of the season, he could have a clearer path to a rotation spot once he gets healthy.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Casas (knee) is headed for imaging on his ribs after he tried to swing a bat Monday and "it didn't go well," Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Casas -- who initially went on the injured list as he recovers from last May's knee surgery -- was recently diagnosed with a left intercostal strain. More will be known about a possible timetable for Casas after his imaging results are in, but he won't be back anytime soon even if he gets a favorable result.

Yesavage (shoulder) is slated to make his second rehab start Thursday with Single-A Dunedin, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Yesavage checked out fine after a bullpen session Monday, prompting the Blue Jays to clear him for another rehab outing in the Florida State League. After he didn't pitch at all during the Grapefruit League while recovering from a right shoulder impingement, Yesavage struck out three and allowed one earned run on one hit and one walk over 2.2 innings in his first rehab start with Dunedin last Friday. He threw 44 pitches in that outing and is expected to push his count up to around 60-to-65 pitches Thursday, per Zwelling.

Double-A Northwest Arkansas placed Zobac on the 7-day injured list April 2 with an undisclosed injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

The Royals protected Zobac from the Rule 5 Draft despite the fact knee injuries limited him to 36.1 innings at Double-A in 2025. His above-average fastball and slider should eventually fit in the middle of a big-league bullpen, although he is still being developed as a starter entering his age-25 season.

The Blue Jays recalled Fitzgerald from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old was acquired from the Giants over the weekend and will quickly join the big-league roster with Addison Barger (ankle) landing on the injured list. Fitzgerald will provide some depth as a utility man but shouldn't be expected to receive regular playing time while up with the Blue Jays.

Hamm is dealing with a right shoulder strain with Double-A Erie, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

He hasn't officially been placed on the injured list, but the nature of the injury suggests Hamm is closer to week-to-week than day-to-day. The 23-year-old righty logged a 4.88 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 76 strikeouts in 83 innings across 20 starts at Double-A last year.

Single-A Lakeland placed Oliveto on the 60-day injured list with a left great toe fracture, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

Oliveto is completing rehab daily, and he will be making his pro debut whenever he is cleared to return. The Tigers selected Oliveto out of high school with the No. 34 overall pick in last year's draft.

The Blue Jays placed Barger on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left ankle sprain.

Barger sustained the injury Sunday against the White Sox, and the Blue Jays initially labeled the issue as bilateral ankle discomfort. Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Monday that Barger was "trending in the right direction," but the 26-year-old will still need some time on the shelf to recover. He'll be eligible to rejoin the active roster April 16.

Sears is recovering from a left elbow osteophyte fracture and is in a throwing program, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

Sears enjoyed a breakout 2025 season, logging a 3.49 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 123 strikeouts in 111 innings across High-A and Double-A. He only made six starts at Double-A last year, and it's unclear how lengthy Sears' recovery will be.

McMahon is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the A's.

McMahon has gone 2-for-23 with six walks and 11 strikeouts through nine games this season and will hit the bench Tuesday for the second time this year. Amed Rosario is instead starting at the hot corner and batting seventh.
