Woo (10-9) earned the win against the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings.

Mickey Gasper hit a solo homer in the first inning, but Woo settled in to keep the Red Sox off the board for the rest of his outing. It was the third time in eight starts that Woo struck out at least seven batters, and he did enough to come away with his 14th quality start of the season, which is tied for sixth-most in the American League. He'll take a 4.25 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over 148.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for this weekend at home against the Athletics.

Prielipp (4-7) earned the win Tuesday against the Tigers, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out five over five scoreless innings of relief.

Prielipp entered after opener Andrew Morris allowed a run in the first inning. Prielipp kept Detroit off the board for the next five frames, throwing 47 of 73 pitches for strikes. It marked the first scoreless outing of Prielipp's young career and his 11th consecutive appearance of at least five innings, though the left-hander has posted an unimpressive 5.37 ERA during that stretch. His next turn through the rotation is expected to come Monday in a rematch with the Tigers.

Martin (finger) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Astros in Houston, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Martin landed on the IL on Aug. 14 due to a blister on his right middle finger, and after throwing five shutout innings during a rehab outing at Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, he's received the green light to return to Chicago's rotation. The 29-year-old righty had struggled over his last five starts before hitting the shelf, going 0-1 with a 9.95 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across 19 innings.

Gasper went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Mariners.

Gasper got the Red Sox on the board early with a solo homer in the first inning. He's gone deep in back-to-back games and has seven homers over his last 13 games since being recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Aug. 16. Gasper should continue to see plenty of playing time over the next couple of weeks given his strong play at the plate coupled with Willson Contreras (hamstring) being on the 10-day injured list.

Paez (0-1) took the loss against the Mariners on Tuesday, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out three across 3.2 innings.

The 22-year-old right-hander was called up from Triple-A Worcester to make his major-league debut Tuesday. He got off to a rough start by allowing a solo homer to Dominic Canzone in the first inning before allowing five runs in the second frame, three of which came on a Randy Arozarena home run. Paez went on to allow a run in each of the next two frames before being pulled in the fourth after tossing 87 pitches (55 strikes) and generating eight whiffs. It's not the way the right-hander was hoping his major-league debut would go, and he'll likely head back to the minors if the Red Sox revert to a five-man rotation.

Melton (7-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins, allowing seven runs (five earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out four over 5.1 innings.

Melton surrendered a first-inning homer to Kody Clemens before settling in to retire 10 consecutive batters, but things unraveled over the fifth and sixth innings. He was charged with six runs during that span, two of which scored via error, and exited after allowing a three-run homer to Royce Lewis in the sixth. The five earned runs were a season high for Melton, who entered Tuesday having allowed more than three runs just once in 16 starts. He's now taken the loss in three straight outings and owns a 2.20 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 84:29 K:BB across 102.1 innings. Melton is slated for a rematch with Minnesota on Monday.

Finnegan allowed five runs on three hits and two walks while retiring only one batter in relief during Tuesday's 15-2 loss to the Twins.

Finnegan didn't take the loss, as Detroit starter Troy Melton was also hit hard as he allowed seven runs (five earned) in 5.1 innings, but the righty reliever was wholly ineffective out of the bullpen. The 34-year-old saw his ERA climb from 3.27 to 4.07, and the rough performance comes on the heels of a month in which he posted a subpar 5.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across 10 appearances. Finnegan will look to turn things around in September, though he's not off to an encouraging start, and his fantasy value remains limited in a setup role for a team that is now 12 games below .500.

Dobnak (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Marlins, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings.

Dobnak threw 54 of 87 pitches for strikes and surrendered homers to Graham Pauley and Kyle Stowers. He came out for the seventh inning but allowed three consecutive hits, resulting in two runs scoring before exiting and another eventually being charged to him. The six runs were his most in any of his 16 MLB appearances since 2021. Across nine starts and two relief appearances this season, Dobnak owns a 2.65 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 40:23 K:BB over 57.2 innings. He's slated to face Toronto in his next trip to the mound.

Arrighetti (7-8) took the loss against the Guardians on Tuesday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two across 3.2 innings.

Spencer Miles drew the start for the Blue Jays on Tuesday, and Arrighetti took over in the third inning after Ricky Tiedemann pitched the second. Arrighetti kept the Guardians off the board until the fifth inning, when he gave up a two-run homer to Patrick Bailey, and the former did not receive enough run support from his Blue Jays teammates to avoid the loss. Arrighetti has been tagged with the loss in each of his first three outings with the Blue Jays, allowing nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits (including three home runs) and five walks while striking out 10 batters across 11 innings. He could be used as a starter or in a bulk-relief role this weekend on the road against the Royals.

Genao went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer during Tuesday's 6-1 win over Toronto.

Genao pinch hit for Travis Bazzana in the seventh inning, and the former answered the call by taking Joe Mantiply deep to left field for a two-run homer. It was the second major-league homer of Genao's career, with the first taking place Aug. 8 against the White Sox. Since making his major-league debut Aug. 5, he has gone 20-for-76 (.263) with five RBI, five extra-base hits, one steal and 10 runs scored across 22 games.
