Lukes fouled a ball off his right knee in the bottom of the first inning, ultimately drawing a walk in his first at-bat of the day. The 31-year-old was able to remain in the game initially, but Myles Straw ended up replacing him in right field in the top of the fourth.

Mariners' Bryan Woo: Set for bullpen session

Woo (pectoral) will throw a live bullpen session Monday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Woo was officially added to the ALCS roster during the weekend, and he'll now look to prove his health with a bullpen session ahead of Game 2 of the series. The right-hander suffered a pectoral injury in mid-September, and he's yet to make his 2025 postseason debut.

Blue Jays' Trey Yesavage: Set to start Game 2

Manager John Schneider announced that Yesavage will start Game 2 of the ALCS against the Mariners on Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The right-hander was available out of the bullpen for Game 4 of the ALDS versus the Yankees, but he wasn't utilized and will start Game 2 of the ALCS. Yesavage made his postseason debut against New York in Game 2 and delivered 5.1 scoreless and hitless innings while racking up 11 strikeouts.

  • Chris Bassitt SP | BAL

Blue Jays' Chris Bassitt: On roster for ALCS

The Blue Jays added Bassitt (back) to the active roster for the ALCS against the Mariners, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The veteran right-hander finished the regular season on the injured list due to back inflammation and wasn't included on Toronto's ALDS roster, but he's now ready to go. Bassitt pitched well as a back-end starter during the regular season with a 3.96 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 166:52 K:BB across 170.1 innings. but he may have a more flexible role for the postseason. Mariners' Bryan Woo: Included on ALCS roster

The Mariners added Woo (pectoral) to their active roster for the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.

President of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto indicated Saturday that Woo was expected to make the roster after sitting out the past few weeks due to pectoral inflammation, so it's not a surprise the right-hander is active for the championship series. The 25-year-old was Seattle's best starting pitcher during the regular season with a 2.94 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 198:36 K:BB across 186.2 innings, but he likely won't be available to pitch for the Mariners until later in the week when the series shifts to Seattle after the first two games in Toronto.

  • Max Scherzer SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Max Scherzer: Added to roster for ALCS

The Blue Jays included Scherzer on their roster for the ALCS against the Mariners, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Scherzer was left of the ALDS roster but is back for the championship series with Toronto needing some more length for the seven-game series. It remains to be seen if the 41-year-old will step into the Blue Jays' rotation or if he'll operate out of the bullpen versus Seattle.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Won't return for ALCS

Bichette (knee) won't be included on the Blue Jays' roster for the ALCS against the Mariners, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

The 27-year-old returned to running the bases this weekend, but he appeared to feel some discomfort while doing so and won't be active for the championship series. Bichette landed on the injured list in early September due to a left knee sprain and made significant progress recently in his rehab work, but he needs a bit more time to get fully back up to speed. Andres Gimenez filled in at shortstop during the ALDS for Toronto, while Ernie Clement and Isiah Kiner-Falefa split starts at second base.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Resumes running

Manager John Schneider said Saturday that Bichette (knee) has resumed running the bases, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Schneider added that Bichette also began facing live pitching Friday, checking off two significant boxes necessary for him to be included in the Blue Jays' ALCS roster. Toronto has until Sunday to make the final call on his availability, and the team will likely see how he responds to Saturday's workout before finalizing the roster.

  • Bryce Miller SP | SEA

Mariners' Bryce Miller: Drawing Game 1 start

Miller will start against the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS on Sunday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

The Mariners were forced to use three members of their rotation during Friday's 15-inning marathon against Detroit, so Miller will take the mound Sunday on just three days' rest. The 27-year-old threw just 55 pitches during his last appearance in Game 4 of the ALDS on Wednesday, so he may still be able to pitch fairly deep into Sunday's game despite his short recovery period.
