Imaging on Skubal's left side came back negative Saturday after he was removed in the fourth inning of Friday's 8-2 loss to the Marlins, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Manager A.J. Hinch said the team will continue to keep an eye on Skubal's side over the next several days, but the expectation is that he will be able to make his next start, which is expected to fall Thursday versus the Guardians. Before exiting Friday's outing with side tightness, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner endured one of his worst starts of the campaign, giving up four earned runs on four hits -- including two home runs -- while matching a season low with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings.

Baldwin (hip) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Baldwin was pulled from Friday's game due to a sore left hip, and he'll receive a day off to recover Saturday. Michael Taylor will fill the resulting void in center field and bat eighth.

Higashioka isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Higashioka will sit down for the second straight game Saturday after beginning September 3-for-22 with an RBI and two runs scored through seven games. Jonah Heim will fill in behind the dish and bat seventh.

The Red Sox pulled Hendriks (hip) off his throwing program Saturday after he experienced tightness in his forearm, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

A hip injury sent Hendriks to the injured list in late May, and now that he's been shut down from throwing, he'll almost certainly remain sidelined for the rest of the year. The 36-year-old righty will finish 2025 with a 6.59 ERA and 1.39 WHIP through 13.2 innings.

Stanton isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Stanton will take a seat Saturday after going 1-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts during Friday's series opener. Aaron Judge will work as New York's designated hitter while Jasson Dominguez, Trent Grisham and Cody Bellinger form the outfield trio.

Jackson isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Jackson will get a chance to catch his breath after slashing .225/.279/.475 over 43 plate appearances through 10 games in September. His absence will allow Dylan Carlson, Colton Cowser and Dylan Beavers to start across Baltimore's outfield.

Mountcastle isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Mountcastle will take a seat Saturday after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Friday's series opener. Coby Mayo will start at first base and bat ninth.

Duran isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Duran typically remains in the lineup against left-handed starters, but the Red Sox will use a matchup against southpaw Max Fried as an opportunity to get Duran a day off. Rob Refsnyder will take over in left field and bat fourth.

Gonzalez (knee) will start at first base and bat leadoff against the Yankees on Saturday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Left knee soreness kept Gonzalez from playing in Boston's last two games, but he's been cleared to return to action Saturday. The 29-year-old is currently enjoying a 12-game hitting streak, during which he's slashed .455/.444/.545 with nine RBI and five runs scored.

The Rays transferred DeLuca (hamstring/quad) to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

DeLuca has already been ruled out for the rest of the year after suffering a right quad strain at Triple-A Durham, so the Rays will move him to the 60-day IL to free up a 40-man roster spot for Garrett Acton.
