The Blue Jays transferred Sandlin (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

This move doesn't affect Sandlin's timeline for a return, as he had been on the shelf since July 8. His throwing program has been paused multiple times during his ramp-up from right elbow inflammation, and he recently got an anti-inflammatory injection. Sandlin is expected to resume throwing once the shot takes full effect.

The Blue Jays selected Tate's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.

Tate was up in the majors earlier this season, yielding three runs with a 7:6 K:BB over 5.1 innings. He'll operate in middle relief down the stretch.

Varsho (hand) will start in center field and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Reds.

Varsho will make his return to the lineup after he had been held out of the starting nine for the final two games of the Blue Jays' weekend series versus Milwaukee due to a bruised right hand. He ended up coming off the bench and played an inning of center field in Sunday's 8-4 win, and with his hand providing no apparent complications following that contest, Varsho was given the green light to start in Monday's series opener in Cincinnati.

The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Keirsey will operate as a reserve at all three outfield spots down the stretch for the Twins. The 28-year-old has put up just a .324 OPS and 37.6 percent strikeout rate across 85 big-league plate appearances this season.

The Guardians recalled Kent from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.

Kent will be up with the Guardians for the sixth time this season, though he made just four relief appearances over his previous five stints in the majors and gave up five earned runs across 7.1 innings. He'll likely see most of his usage in lower-leverage spots during the final month of the season.

The Guardians selected Valera's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

He will start at designated hitter and bat seventh for his big-league debut Monday in Fenway Park against righty Brayan Bello. Valera was a premium dynasty prospect five or six years ago, but injuries greatly affected his development, and then his hit tool stalled out in the upper levels. Still just 24, the lefty-hitting outfielder slashed .255/.346/.457 with three home runs and a 25.2 percent strikeout rate in 28 games at Triple-A this season after returning from 2024 patellar tendon surgery.

The Twins recalled Davis from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Davis has made seven appearances in the majors this season between the Dodgers and Twins, getting bludgeoned for 19 runs (18 earned) over nine innings. He'll provide Minnesota with a fresh bullpen arm but is unlikely to be used in high-leverage spots.

The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Adams will give the Twins some length in the bullpen during the final month of the season. The righty holds a 7.71 ERA and 21:12 K:BB over 23.1 innings covering two starts and six relief appearances in the majors in 2025.

The Guardians optioned Wilson to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Wilson's latest stint in the big leagues lasted one week, with the infielder appearing in two games and going 3-for-6 with an RBI and a run. He'll be replaced on the 28-man active roster by outfielder George Valera, who was called up from Triple-A.

The Guardians recalled Noel from Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Noel had a rough sophomore showing in the majors to start the season, hitting .140 with a 35:3 K:BB in 111 plate appearances before getting demoted in early June. He got a brief cup of coffee in July but has spent the bulk of the summer at Triple-A, slashing .273/.337/.493 with 12 home runs and a 26.6 percent strikeout rate in 61 games. The righty-hitting slugger should play primarily against southpaws down the stretch.
