Rodon (14-7) allowed two runs on one hit and five walks while striking out three over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Red Sox on Sunday.

Rodon has issued a season-high five walks in three of his last seven starts. He was largely able to work around his control issues Sunday, as he gave the Red Sox little to hit, with only a two-run single by Nathaniel Lowe in the sixth inning marring Rodon's line. The 32-year-old southpaw is now at a 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 172:65 K:BB through 158.1 innings across 27 starts. He's projected for a favorable road start versus the White Sox in his next outing.

Fitts is expected to operate as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Brennan Bernardino in Monday's game against Baltimore, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Fitts was called up from Triple-A Worcester on Thursday and was made available out of the bullpen, but the Red Sox stayed away from using him during their four-game weekend series versus the Yankees. The right-hander thus isn't expected to face any restrictions with his workload once he likely enters the game after Bernardino covers the first inning or two. Fitts has previously served as a starter in all 10 of his appearances with Boston this season, compiling a 4.83 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with 34 strikeouts over 41 innings.

May (7-10) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Yankees.

May is now 1-3 with 10 runs allowed over 20 innings across his four starts with the Red Sox. The long ball was his primary issue Sunday, as he allowed a two-run home run to Jazz Chisholm and a pair of solo shots to Trent Grisham. On the year, May is now at a 4.79 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 117:50 K:BB through 124 innings over 23 games (22 starts). May's next start is projected to be at home versus the Pirates.

Bernardino will serve as the Red Sox's opening pitcher for Monday's game against the Orioles, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Bernardino will toe the rubber for his second start of the 2025 campaign, likely working one or two innings before giving way to bulk reliever Richard Fitts. Over his last 13 appearances with Boston, the lefty has allowed five hits and five walks while striking out 12 batters over 15.1 scoreless frames.

The White Sox promoted Bonemer from Single-A Kannapolis to HIgh-A Winston-Salem on Sunday, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Bonemer will make the jump to High-A after slashing .281/.400/.458 with 10 home runs and 27 stolen bases in 96 games with Kannapolis. The No. 43 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Bonemer is regarded as one of the White Sox's top lower-level prospects and could be on track to make his big-league debut by 2027 if he keeps mashing as he moves up the minor-league ladder.

Perez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 10-8 loss to the Royals.

A day after beginning the game on the bench, Perez returned to the starting lineup Sunday and smashed his 11th home run of the season in the fifth inning. The outfielder has been productive all month long, as he's batting .308 with four home runs, eight RBI and nine runs scored across 21 games in August. Perez also started Sunday's contest as the leadoff hitter for the first time this year, and sticking in the top spot could help his fantasy value hitting in front of the likes of Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter and Spencer Torkelson.

Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 11-4 win over the Athletics.

It's been a strong month so far for Rodriguez, who's batting .294 with 13 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 13 runs scored and three RBI over 85 at-bats in August. The All-Star center fielder also has at least one hit in 15 of his last 21 outings. Dating back to the start of June, Rodriguez is hitting a healthy .272 with 35 extra-base knocks, 41 RBI, 46 runs scored and 16 steals across his last 74 contests.

Torkelson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 10-8 loss to the Royals.

Torkelson launched his 28th home run of the season and second in as many days in the seventh inning. The Detroit first baseman is closing in on his career high of 31 home runs, which he tallied in 159 games back in 2023. He's recorded his 28 long balls this year in just 126 games, giving Torkelson a good chance at setting a new highwater mark if he stays healthy.

Greene went 1-for-2 with a walk, a solo home run and three total runs scored in Sunday's 10-8 loss to the Royals.

While Greene's batting average hasn't been great in recent weeks, he is in the middle of a power surge. The outfielder is just 11-for-47 over his last 14 games, but five of those hits have left the yard. Greene is now up to 31 home runs and 95 RBI for the season, both of which lead the team and are among the top 10 in the majors.

Varsho went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Marlins.

Varsho provided all of the Blue Jays' offense with a 424-foot blast in the seventh inning. It continued a scorching August for the 29-year-old, who has seven homers, 20 RBI and 12 runs scored over 19 games this month. On the season, he's slashing .234/.288/.591 with 15 long balls, 40 RBI, 26 runs and one steal across 170 plate appearances.
