Single-A Kannapolis placed Mogollon on its 7-day injured list July 2 due to an unspecified injury.

The 19-year-old middle infielder had slashed .220/.347/.387 with five home runs and 15 stolen bases over 224 plate appearances for Kannapolis prior to landing on the shelf.

Elko (knee) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday and has gone 3-for-8 with two home runs, one walk, four RBI and three runs through his first two games.

The White Sox placed Elko on the 10-day injured list July 11 due to a right knee sprain, but he looks to be on the cusp of a return. Aside from moving short-side platoon outfielder Austin Slater, the White Sox didn't deal away any position players at the trade deadline, so Elko may not be in store for an everyday role at first base or designated hitter once he's activated.

GM Mike Elias said Wednesday that a medical plan for Rodriguez (elbow/lat) is being finalized, with surgery being a possibility, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Possible surgery is a worrying development for Rodriguez, though it's encouraging that the procedure would be to remove some bone rather than a UCL issue. The right-hander has been on the injured list all season due to elbow and lat injuries, and surgery would prevent him from pitching at all in 2025. However, Rodriguez should have enough time to get healthy for next spring.

Dubin (forearm) made his first rehab appearance Tuesday at Triple-A Sugar Land, striking out a batter while allowing an earned run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning.

Tuesday's appearance was Dubin's first at any level since June 20, as he's been on the shelf for more than a month while recovering from a right forearm strain. He'll likely remain with Sugar Land at least through the weekend to continue his rehab assignment before Houston potentially adds him back to the big-league bullpen in the first week of August.

Criswell will start Friday's game against the Astros, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The right-hander was called up from Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday and will step into Boston's rotation to fill the spot vacated by Richard Fitts' demotion earlier this week. Criswell, who's worked out of the bullpen in each of his six MLB appearances this year, has a 5.06 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 5:3 K:BB over 10.2 innings. The 29-year-old righty may be in line for just a spot start, as the newly acquired Dustin May is scheduled to start Sunday's series finale and could stick as the fifth member of the rotation over Criswell moving forward.

Arrighetti (thumb) allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out five across 4.2 innings in his rehab start Thursday with Triple-A Sugar Land. He also hit a batter and threw a wild pitch.

Arrighetti made his third rehab outing and his first at Triple-A, and though his results weren't great, he built up to 79 pitches (50 strikes). Assuming the right-hander comes out of his next bullpen session no worse for the wear, the Astros could activate him from the 60-day injured list to make a start during their series in Miami early next week. Arrighetti has been on the shelf since April 8 due to a right thumb fracture.

Javier (elbow) struck out three and allowed three earned runs on two hits and four walks in a rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Sugar Land.

Making his fourth rehab start and second at Triple-A, Javier built up to 64 pitches, though his control was spotty (33 strikes, four walks, one wild pitch). During his rehab assignment, the right-hander has posted a 6.10 ERA, 1.84 WHIP and a 9:11 K:BB in 10.1 innings. The Astros have only four healthy starting pitching options on the 26-man active roster after shipping Ryan Gusto to the Marlins at the trade deadline, but Javier may need to show improved form before he'll be activated from the 60-day injured list. Expect him to make at least one more rehab start.

Ferguson threw a clean seventh inning with no strikeouts in Thursday's 6-0 win over the Rangers.

Ferguson got off on the right foot in his team debut, though it's worth noting he entered in a low-leverage situation as the Mariners nursed a 6-0 lead. While the 29-year-old southpaw may not be part of the high-leverage mix right off the bat, it's not out of the question that he'll eventually work his way into a setup role behind closer Andres Munoz. Ferguson is just one of two active lefties in Seattle's bullpen along with Gabe Speier.

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's 6-0 win over the Rangers.

Suarez made his presence felt in his first appearance since landing back with the Mariners, doubling and then scoring the game's first run in the fourth inning. Suarez might miss working from hitter-friendly Chase Field -- the All-Star third baseman posted a 1.011 OPS in 54 home games with Arizona -- but he should have plenty of RBI chances going forward despite shifting to pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park with Seattle.

Miller (elbow) is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, per MLB.com.

Friday is set to mark Miller's first game action in nearly two months, and the Mariners are targeting a pitch count in the neighborhood of 55 for the right-hander. Right elbow inflammation has kept Miller on the injured list since June 7, and he figures to make two or three rehab starts before re-entering Seattle's rotation. Once Miller is ready return, it's likely that Logan Evans will be optioned back to the minor leagues.
