Lowe (foot) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Wednesday's game against the Yankees, MLB.com reports.

Lowe ran in the outfield both Saturday and Sunday, and the tendinitis issue in his ankle and foot appears to have subsided enough for him to return from the IL on his first day of eligibility. Once he's officially reinstated, Lowe should take over as the Rays' primary second baseman, though he'll occasionally get held out of the lineup against left-handed pitching.

McClanahan (triceps/biceps) played catch from 60 feet Monday, MLB.com reports.

McClanahan had his rehab assignment paused July 21 after he suffered from soreness in his left biceps. This marked his first activity since, though the next steps are unclear, as manager Kevin Cash said the session went okay but wasn't particularly encouraging.

Lowe went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a walk and a stolen base Monday against the Yankees.

Lowe has had a poor July, but he's on a strong five-game run. He's gone 6-for-17 with three RBI and a stolen base in that span, with Monday's pilfer marking his seventh of the season. Lowe has settled into the fifth spot in the order against right-handed pitching but still sits against most lefties.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.

Bregman homered in his second straight game and collected a trio of RBI for the second time in the month of July. The star third baseman has posted at least one hit in 10 of his last 12 outings since coming off the injured list, during which he's batting a hot .302 with three round trippers, two doubles and nine RBI over 43 at-bats.

Valdez did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over six innings against the Nationals. He struck out 12.

The southpaw was in command Monday, matching his season high with 12 strikeouts. Valdez has looked like a true ace in 2025, backed by a 9.5 K/9 -- his highest strikeout rate since 2020. On the year, the 31-year-old holds a 2.62 ERA and 1.11 WHIP through 21 starts spanning 134 innings.

DeGrom (10-3) took the loss Monday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against the Angels. He struck out eight.

The ace wasn't at his sharpest Monday, surrendering a two-run homer to light-hitting Kevin Newman in the third inning and a solo shot to Taylor Ward in the sixth inning. DeGrom's final outing of July ended on a sour note, but he had been dominant since June 1 with a 6-0 record, 2.13 ERA and 0.82 WHIP over nine starts and 55 innings.

Jansen picked up the save Monday against the Rangers. He allowed no hits or walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

Jansen earned a four-out save with little trouble Monday, retiring Josh Smith to end the eighth inning before setting down the side in order in the ninth inning to seal the victory. The veteran closer has been dominant in July, giving up just three hits and no earned runs while recording 12 strikeouts, two wins and four saves across 10 outings. The 37-year-old may be past his prime, but Jansen has been a steady presence in the back end of the Angels' bullpen in 2025.

Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's victory over the Rangers.

After Taylor Ward gave the Angels a one-run lead to start the sixth inning, Rengifo padded the advantage a few batters later with a two-run homer. The switch-hitting infielder has posted just a .612 OPS this season after topping .720 in each of the previous three years. While never known for his power, his 13 doubles, one triple and five home runs through 100 games translate to a weak .328 slugging percentage. Despite his struggles, Rengifo has continued to see steady playing time, thanks in part to his defensive versatility but also due to injuries to fellow infielders Yoan Moncada (hand), Chris Taylor (hand) and Christian Moore (thumb).

Woods Richardson didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

Woods Richardson pitched four scoreless innings to begin his outing, but Alex Bregman launched a three-run home run in the fifth frame to leave a major mark on the hurler's ledger. Although the right-hander tallied his most punchouts since his June 26 start versus the Mariners, the seven hits allowed were his most since June 10 against the Rangers. Woods Richardson will take a pedestrian 4.24 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 69:35 K:BB across 80.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance, currently slated for this weekend in Cleveland against the Guardians.

Newman went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Monday's win over the Rangers.

The second baseman opened the scoring Monday with a rocket home run to left-center off ace Jacob deGrom in the third inning. It was Newman's second long ball of the season, coming exactly one month after his first on June 28. The veteran had struggled mightily in July, entering the game with a .217/.217/.217 slash line and just one RBI in 23 at-bats. Despite his season-long struggles, Newman has remained on the roster, largely due to injuries to Christian Moore (thumb), Chris Taylor (hand) and Yoan Moncada (hand).
