Young isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.

Young will get a chance to rest Saturday after going 1-for-3 with a walk during Friday's contest. Jorge Polanco will cover second base while Young rests, putting Cal Raleigh at the DH spot while Mitch Garver starts behind the dish.

The Yankees optioned Winans to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

Winans pitched three innings of three-run ball during Saturday's loss to the Phillies, and he'll promptly be sent back to the minors following the performance. The 29-year-old righty now carries an 8.68 ERA and 1.71 WHIP through 9.1 innings in the big leagues this season.

The Angels recalled Kingery from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

The Angels are down a utility man with Chris Taylor (hand) on the injured list for the second time in two months, so Kingery will come up from Triple-A to fill the opening. The 31-year-old has slashed .255/.311/.386 across 167 plate appearances at Salt Lake this year and is expected to come off the bench most days.

The Angels placed Taylor on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left hand fracture.

Taylor spent more than a month on the injured list with a fractured left hand before returning Monday, but a similar injury will put him right back on the IL five days later. Scott Kingery is up from Triple-A Salt Lake and will replace Taylor as the Angels' bench utility man.

The Angels recalled Campero from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

With Jorge Soler (back) headed to the injured list, the Angels will turn to Campero to provide the team with some help in the outfield. LaMonte Wade is likely to start most days in right field until Soler returns, though Campero could pick up some at-bats against left-handers while in Anaheim.

The Angels placed Soler on the 10-day injured list Saturday with lower-back inflammation, retroactive to Thursday.

Soler's back forced him out of Wednesday's game early, and he'll now have to remain out until at least early August upon moving to the IL. Gustavo Campero was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to replenish the Halos' outfield depth, though LaMonte Wade will likely receive the bulk of reps in right field until Soler is healthy.

Rodriguez (forearm) will undergo Tommy John surgery Aug. 8, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rodriguez initially landed on the injured list in mid-June with a forearm strain. However, he suffered a setback in mid-July that caused him to move to the 60-day IL, and he'll now officially miss the remainder of the 2025 season. The timing of the 28-year-old's procedure also gives him little hope of pitching in 2026, leaving spring of 2027 as his likely return date.

Burger (quad) will resume hitting Saturday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

A left quad strain sent Burger to the injured list July 16, and if everything goes according to plan, the slugging infielder aims to return to the Rangers' lineup Aug. 8 against the Phillies. He still has a few more hurdles to clear before he embarks on a rehab assignment, however, so it's still too early to tell whether he'll meet his goal.

Imaging revealed a flexor strain in Judge's right elbow Saturday that will send him to the injured list, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

The superstar's UCL is intact, however, which should allow him to avoid an extended stay on the injured list, though it's unclear exactly how long he's expected to be sidelined. Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Jasson Dominguez will presumably operate as the Yankees' outfield trio while Judge is out.

The Rangers will activate Pederson (hand) from the 10-day injured list Sunday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Pederson made two starts at first base prior to fracturing his hand in late May and made another start at first base during his rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco this week, but the Rangers intend to use him as a full-time designated hitter once he's activated. The 33-year-old slugger, who went 2-for-6 with a walk and a run scored during his two-game rehab assignment, had posted a .507 OPS through 145 plate appearances with the Rangers prior to landing on the shelf.
