Baldwin was scratched from the lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against Toronto due to lower-back tightness.

Baldwin entered Tuesday looking to extend his five-game hitting streak, but he'll instead move to the bench and give his back time to heal. Austin Slater will fill in as Chicago's left fielder and bat eighth while Baldwin recovers.

Lowe (side) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

The 31-year-old will sit for a second consecutive contest after leaving Sunday's game against the Twins due to left side soreness. It remains to be seen if Lowe will require a trip to the injured list, but a move to the IL wouldn't be surprising with the All-Star break less than a week away.

Gordon has been cleared of a possible concussion after being struck in the head by a comebacker in Monday's loss to the Guardians, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Gordon remained in Monday's game after the incident but was evaluated for a concussion as a precaution, and he passed all tests. The left-hander will be ready to pitch again when needed, although he's currently not scheduled to make another start before the All-Star break.

Kim (calf) is starting at shortstop and batting fifth Tuesday against the Tigers, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Kim sat out the previous three games due to a right calf strain, but he'll rejoin the starting nine after Monday's team off day. After recovering from shoulder surgery and missing the first three-plus months of the season, the 29-year-old lasted just seven innings during his season debut Friday before suffering the calf injury.

Lange has been pulled off his rehab assignment due to mild tightness in his surgically repaired right lat, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Monday that "it's not a setback" with Lange, but "just a delay." Lange has allowed just one run with a 9:1 K:BB over 6.2 rehab innings and seems close to activation from the 60-day injured list, but now his timeline is up in the air.

Meyers (calf) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Guardians.

Meyers tweaked his right calf in Sunday's win over the Dodgers and has now missed two straight starts. He's considered day-to-day, but with an off day looming Thursday, the Astros could choose to hold Meyers out at least until Friday. Taylor Trammell is handling center field and batting ninth Tuesday.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that he has no plans to regularly use LeMahieu at third base, and he views the veteran infielder as a bench bat, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Jazz Chisholm will make the move from third base back to his more natural position at second base, where LeMahieu had been serving as the Yankees' primary starter since returning from the injured list May 13. Though LeMahieu has ample experience at third base, he won't end up taking over for Chisholm at the hot corner, with Boone noting that it's a challenge for the 36-year-old to physically play the position at this stage of his career. Oswald Peraza will draw the nod at third base Tuesday versus the Mariners and looks like the favorite to see the bulk of the starts at that spot for the time being.

The Yankees recalled Beeter from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A on Thursday but is quickly back with the Yankees since Mark Leiter (leg) was placed on the injured list. Beeter allowed three earned runs over 1.2 frames during his lone appearance in the majors this season.

Matthews (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

It's the first time Matthews has faced hitters since he was diagnosed in early June with a moderate subscapularis strain in his right shoulder. If he bounces back well from Tuesday's session, Matthews could be cleared for a rehab assignment. Given that he hasn't pitched in more than a month, the 25-year-old is sure to require at least a couple rehab starts before the Twins consider putting him back into their rotation.

The Yankees placed Leiter on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left fibular head stress fracture.

Per Max Goodman of NJ.com, Leiter felt a pop in his left leg when he was running to cover first base in a game versus the Reds back on June 24. He had made four appearances since then, but testing revealed the stress fracture. It's not clear how long Leiter might be out, but it's likely to be longer than a minimum stay on the IL.
