Noah Cameron SP | KC
Royals' Noah Cameron: Roughed up by Yankees
Cameron (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.
Cameron allowed just three runs over his first five starts this season, spanning 31.2 innings. However, the 25-year-old came down to earth Tuesday, yielding a three-run home run to Austin Wells and a two-run homer to Aaron Judge during the start. The only positive takeaway from the outing was Cameron's strikeout ability. He had topped three strikeouts just once before Tuesday's start. On the year, Cameron has posted a 2.17 ERA and 25:11 K:BB over 37.1 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Rangers his next time out.

Royals' Jonathan India: Clubs solo homer
India went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 10-2 loss to the Yankees.
India tagged Max Fried for a solo homer in the sixth inning. It was India's third long ball of the season, and his second in June. In his last seven games, India is 10-for-30 (.333) with seven runs scored and five RBI.

Kyle Higashioka C | TEX
Rangers' Kyle Higashioka: Season-high five RBI in easy win
Higashioka went 2-for-5 with a double, five RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 16-4 victory over the Twins.
The five RBI established a season high to now give him 15 for the campaign. The 35-year-old slugging backstop is now slashing .233/.282/.320 with one homer, six doubles and nine runs scored across 110 plate appearances. The door is open for Higashioka to claim more playing time behind the dish, with Jonah Heim having gone 4-for-40 over his last 13 outings.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Busts out of slump with four RBI
Jung went 2-for-5 with a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 16-4 victory over the Twins.
It was a much-needed rebound game for Jung, who had just two hits in his prior 27 at-bats before Tuesday. The four RBI matched a season high, and the third baseman is now slashing .259/.305/.406 with seven homers, eight doubles, 27 RBI and four stolen bases over 226 plate appearances this season. Jung's four steals through 58 games have already tied his career high in the category.

Andres Gimenez SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Andres Gimenez: Snaps long homer drought Tuesday
Gimenez went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 10-9 win over the Cardinals.
Gimenez finally snapped a 37-game homerless skid with his fourth big fly of the campaign. The middle infielder has recorded at least one hit in 10 of his last 11 games, a stretch in which he's batting .341 (14-for-41) with two doubles, six RBI, five runs scored and one stolen base. Gimenez rose to the fifth spot in the lineup Tuesday for the first time since April 27, a promising sign as he looks to maintain a groove at the dish.

Connor Prielipp SP | MIN
Twins' Connor Prielipp: On IL with blister
Prielipp was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Wichita due to a blister on his pitching hand, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Prielipp had just returned from the development list (which was likely used to reduce his workload this season) and threw 8.2 scoreless innings over his last two starts with a 9:1 K:BB. He has a 3.13 ERA with a 40:6 K:BB in 31.2 innings at Double-A.

Jeff Hoffman RP | MIN
Blue Jays' Jeff Hoffman: Escapes with 17th save
Hoffman picked up the save in Tuesday's 10-9 win over St. Louis, recording one out after giving up one run in the ninth inning.
Hoffman entered with two runners aboard and two outs in the frame, and he promptly served up a three-run home run to Willson Contreras. The right-hander quickly recovered, however, getting Alec Burleson to ground out on his second and final pitch of the outing for his 17th save this year. Hoffman has struggled mightily in the past month or so -- he has an 11.20 ERA and 1.61 WHIP over his last 13.2 innings -- but the Blue Jays have displayed consistent trust in Hoffman as their closer throughout the campaign.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Leaves with neck tightness
Chisholm was removed from Tuesday's game against Kansas City with neck tightness, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Chisholm's neck seemed to be giving him trouble after he swiped third base in the sixth inning of Tuesday's contest, and he was eventually replaced on defense during the seventh. The Yankees will take a closer look at him and should have some more information on his status shortly. If he ends up having to miss additional time, Oswald Peraza would be the favorite to pick up some reps at the hot corner.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Hits key home run
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Orioles.
Torkelson's 16th home run of the season in the fifth inning with a runner on ended up being the difference in the game. The slugging infielder only hit 10 long balls during the 2024 regular season after cracking a career-best 31 home runs back in 2023. Torkelson may never hit for a great average, though he could approach 40 homers if he maintains his current pace and stays healthy.

Sawyer Gipson-Long SP | DET
Tigers' Sawyer Gipson-Long: Looks sharp Tuesday
Gipson-Long allowed one run on three hits across 4.2 innings of relief in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Orioles. He struck out five.
Gipson-Long was the third Detroit pitcher of the night and ended up filling the bulk role as he set a new season best in innings and earned his first hold of the year. After covering 3.2 innings and tossing 70 pitches in his 2025 debut Wednesday, the righty dipped to 51 pitches but was more efficient and looked sharper in his second appearance. Before last week, Gipson-Long hadn't appeared in an MLB game since 2023 following a lengthy recovery from Tommy John surgery and hip surgery. The 27-year-old is a short-term starting option with Jackson Jobe (elbow) and Reese Olson (finger) on the injured list, but Gibson-Long may settle in as a long reliever when the Tigers are fully healthy. For now, he's penciled in to take the mound again Sunday against the Reds, potentially in a bulk role once more with Brant Hurter as the opener.
