Twins' Jhoan Duran: Collects another win Saturday
Duran (3-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Royals, striking out two while allowing a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.
The Twins' closer entered the game with the score tied 4-4 in the top of the ninth and got rewarded for his efforts when Brooks Lee hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the frame. All three of Duran's wins have come in his last five appearances, and through 23.1 innings on the season he sports a sparkling 1.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB with eight saves in nine chances.

Zebby Matthews SP | MIN
Twins' Zebby Matthews: Fans nine in no-decision
Matthews didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Royals, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out nine.
The young righty got the hook after 81 pitches (57 strikes) having established a career high for strikeouts in his 11th big-league start. However, Matthews once again failed to go deep into a game after lasting just three innings in his season debut May 18. His ability to miss bats isn't in question, but he'll need to become more efficient if he wants to stick around in the Minnesota rotation. Matthews will take a 7.71 ERA and 14:4 K:BB through his first seven innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Seattle.

The four earned runs also tied his season high, while the single K was a season low. Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Saturday that the issue has developed slowly over the last few weeks, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. It's a significant blow to Toronto's bullpen, with Garcia posting a 3.15 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 24:10 K:BB across 20 innings with three saves and six holds this season.
