The Orioles optioned Walker to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Walker had been recalled Monday and pitched each of the last two days, allowing one run over two frames. The lefty has logged a 4.28 ERA and 32:9 K:BB across 27.1 innings at Norfolk this season.

The Red Sox placed Early on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to left elbow inflammation.

After striking out five and blanking the Nationals through four innings in his start Tuesday, Early was lifted prior to the top of the fifth after experiencing elbow discomfort. The Red Sox are classifying Early's injury as inflammation, but he'll undergo further imaging Wednesday as the club looks to determine if there's anything more significant at play. Early won't be eligible to return until after the All-Star break, but if he avoids a prolonged shutdown from throwing, he could be ready to pitch when the Red Sox open their second-half schedule.

The Orioles optioned Gibson to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

The move comes one day after Gibson was hammered for eight runs over 2.2 innings in a loss to the White Sox. He will return to Norfolk, where he has logged a 3.55 ERA and 38:19 K:BB over 38 innings covering nine starts this season. Gibson's spot in the Orioles' rotation will be absorbed by Dean Kremer, who is back from the injured list and will start Wednesday's game.

The Orioles recalled Weston from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Weston made a scoreless relief appearance in his major-league debut last month and is now back for another opportunity. The 25-year-old has an ugly 7.23 ERA with 24 walks over 37.1 innings with Norfolk but has also struck out 53 during that time.

Lee is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Zach McKinstry will fill in at the keystone in the series finale. Lee started at second base in the Tigers' last four games, going 5-for-17 with a home run, a double, a walk and three RBI.

The Red Sox designated Kahnle for assignment Wednesday.

Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com relayed after Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Nationals that Kahnle would be DFA'd, and the move has now been made officially after Boston acquired infielder Brett Harris in a trade to take the reliever's spot on the 40-man roster. After signing a minor-league deal with Boston late in spring training, Kahnle moved up to the big leagues on June 4 and turned in an 8.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 5:6 K:BB across nine innings over eight appearances out of the bullpen.

Ingle is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Ingle will join fellow left-handed hitters Travis Bazzana and Steven Kwan on the bench while southpaw MacKenzie Gore takes the hill for the Rangers. David Fry will draw the start in left field in place of Ingle, who has gone 1-for-11 with three walks, two RBI and one run in his first four MLB games since being called up from Triple-A Columbus last week. The rookie also committed a mental error Tuesday that allowed the winning run to score in a 4-2 victory for Texas.

Bazzana is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Rangers.

Bazzana has gone just 2-for-29 with a 1:10 BB:K over his last seven games. Additionally, the Rangers are starting southpaw MacKenzie Gore, presenting a good opportunity for the left-swinging Bazzana to get a break during the afternoon contest. Daniel Schneemann will fill in for the Guardians at second base.

Kwan is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

The Guardians will hold the left-handed-hitting Kwan out of the starting nine for the series finale while southpaw MacKenzie Gore takes the bump for Texas. Kahlil Watson will slide over from his usual spot in right field to replace Kwan in center.

Bailey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Bailey will get a breather for the Wednesday afternoon game after playing nine innings behind the plate in a 4-2 loss Tuesday night. Austin Hedges will handle catching duties for the Guardians.
