Soriano (8-5) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out nine over five-plus innings to take the loss versus the Mariners on Tuesday.

Soriano was trading zeroes with Bryan Woo for five innings, but the Mariners broke through in the sixth. Soriano allowed three straight singles to begin that frame, and Chase Silseth wasn't able to stop the bleeding after coming on in relief with two runners aboard. Soriano had a mediocre June, giving up 20 runs (17 earned) over 28.2 innings across six starts, though he logged a 33:18 K:BB in that span. For the season, he's at a 3.42 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 111:49 K:BB across 100 innings through 18 starts. The right-hander's next start is projected to be on the road versus the Rangers.

Thomas went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Thomas continued his recent success at the plate with his seventh-inning blast. He has homered in consecutive contests and has gone 5-for-12 over his last four games and is seeing some steady playing time while the Athletics are missing Tyler Soderstrom (hip) and Brent Rooker (knee) from the outfield mix. Thomas is batting .238 with a .687 OPS, four homers, 10 RBI, 10 runs scored, two doubles and a stolen base over 85 plate appearances this season.

Springs (3-8) allowed six runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Dodgers.

Springs had a rotten June, allowing at least three runs in each of his six outings for the month. He gave up a total of 32 runs (30 earned) over 27 innings in that span. He still hasn't won a game since April 14 versus the Rangers. Springs is at a 5.79 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 80:33 K:BB through 93.1 innings over 18 starts this season. Springs has had a particularly tough time at home with a 6.79 ERA over his 11 home starts, including two games in Las Vegas. His next outing is projected to be on the road in Detroit.

Pereira (concussion) is making progress in his recovery but is still experiencing concussion symptoms, MLB.com reports.

Pereira has been sidelined for much of the last two months with a combination of a pectoral strain and a concussion. He is expected to return at some point in July, but no detailed timeline for his activation has been established.

The Red Sox acquired Harris from the Athletics on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Ben Hansen, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

The Athletics removed Harris from their 40-man roster last weekend, despite the fact that he slashed .336/.441/.537 with five home runs over 178 plate appearances at Triple-A Las Vegas. The Red Sox were willing to make room on their roster for Harris, who could have a chance to contribute in the big leagues at some point in the near future while the club has contended with multiple injuries in the infield. He'll report to Triple-A Worcester to begin his time in his new organization, however.

Vilade went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored during the Rays' 10-4 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Although Vilade is stuck in a part-time role, he's been effective when given playing time in 2026. Through 215 plate appearances, the utility man is slashing .278/.343/.484 with six homers, six doubles, 28 RBI and three stolen bases. Jake Fraley (hernia) is on a minor-league rehab assignment, and his eventual return to the Rays will create another obstacle to at-bats for Vilade.

The Red Sox are expected to designate Kahnle for assignment following Tuesday's loss to the Nationals, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Kahnle is poised to lose his spot on the 40-man roster after he gave up four earned runs on four hits and one walk in the eighth inning of Tuesday's contest, giving the righty an 8.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP through nine innings at the big-league level. Alec Gamboa is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday to claim the vacant bullpen spot.

Skubal (8-4) earned the win against the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and no walks with nine strikeouts over six innings.

Going against fellow ace Cam Schlittler, Skubal generated 13 swinging strikes on 87 pitches en route to his first win since April 18. The outing marked the first quality start in four turns since returning from the injured list for the 29-year-old, who has allowed seven homers during that span while still posting a strong 0.85 WHIP and 30:2 K:BB. He'll carry a 3.15 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 75:8 K:BB across 65.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Athletics next week.

The Red Sox are expected to recall Gamboa from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Gamboa has fired 1.2 scoreless frames across his two MLB appearances this season, and he's given up just two runs in 10 Triple-A innings since the beginning of June. He'll provide Boston's bullpen with a fresh arm and will likely be limited to low-leverage work with the Red Sox.

Schlittler (8-5) took the loss against the Tigers on Tuesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts over four innings.

Schlittler surrendered a career-high four homers, one of which was almost robbed by Spencer Jones, in his shortest start of the campaign. The outing marked just the second time this season the 25-year-old allowed four earned runs or more, and he'll still finish June with a 3.38 ERA over six starts. He owns a 2.08 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 123:21 K:BB across 104 innings overall and will look to rebound in a road matchup with the Rays next week.
