Ryan came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Cardinals, allowing one run on five hits over five innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

The right-hander fired 55 of 81 pitches for strikes before exiting with the game tied 1-1, but the Twins' bullpen quickly fell apart afterward. Injuries limited Ryan to 135 innings over 23 starts in 2024, so staying healthy will be his top priority this year. The 28-year-old should be effective when he is on the mound though -- over three seasons as a regular member of Minnesota's rotation, Ryan sports a 3.92 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 10.04 K/9. He lines up to make his next start at home next week against the Astros.

Milner (1-0) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Red Sox. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out a batter across 1.1 scoreless frames.

Tyler Mahle was lifted in the second inning after tossing 61 pitches, and the Rangers turned to its bullpen for the rest of Saturday's contest. Milner was called upon in the fourth inning to record the final out, and he was able to get through the fifth inning unscathed after giving up a walk and a single. The left-hander joined Texas on a one-year deal in December after finishing the 2024 regular season with a 4.73 ERA in 61 outings for Milwaukee, and he should primarily work as a middle reliever.

Clevinger (0-1) took the loss Saturday, giving up a run on a hit and a walk in an inning of relief as the White Sox fell 1-0 to the Angels.

The 34-year-old was viewed at the potential closer for Chicago this season, but each of his first two appearances this season have come before the ninth inning. Clevinger got the call Saturday in the top of the eighth of a scoreless tie, and after retiring the first two batters he walked Jorge Soler, only to see him move him up to third base on a wild pitch that Matt Thaiss couldn't find right away. Yoan Moncada then got some revenge on his former team with an RBI infield single that deflected off Clevinger's leg. The right-hander came into 2025 with zero career saves, and given his usage so far and the inability of the White Sox to build leads that need protecting, it could be a while before Clevinger records his first.

Mahle didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox. He allowed one run on two hits and four walks while striking out three over 1.2 innings.

Mahle walked four of the 11 batters he faced Saturday and was taken out of the game after giving up a bases-loaded walk to Rafael Devers in the second inning. Only 30 of Mahle's 61 pitches found the strike zone, and the Rangers were forced to turn to the bullpen for the final 7.1 frames of the game. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing and is lined up to face the Rays at home next week.

Cannon came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Angels, giving up four hits and three walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out five.

The 24-year-old righty engaged in a pitchers' duel with Jose Soriano in each hurler's 2025 debut, but Cannon was lifted after 85 pitches (53 strikes) and had to watch Mike Clevinger give up the game's only run in the eighth inning. Cannon held his own as a rookie last year, but his fantasy ceiling is limited given his inability to miss bats consistently and his team context. He lines up to make his next start on the road next weekend in Detroit.

Jansen walked one and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his first save of the season in a 1-0 win over the White Sox.

The veteran closer fired 11 of 19 pitches for strikes as he picked up his first save as an Angel. Jansen topped out at 94.9 mph with his cutter Saturday, but weak contact rather than elite velocity has always been his calling card. Jansen needs 30 more saves to tie Hall of Famer Lee Smith for third on the all-time list with 478, but it's a mark he hasn't reached in a season since 2022.

Buehler (0-1) came away with the loss against the Rangers on Saturday. He allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out three across 4.1 innings.

Buehler's Red Sox debut got off to a rough start when he gave up two runs in the first inning. He steadied himself over the next two frames before giving up a solo home run to Adolis Garcia in the fourth inning and allowing a final run in the fifth. Buehler left the mound having thrown 48 of 80 pitches for strikes and induced just two ground outs. He's tentatively slated to face the Cardinals at home next week.

Soriano (1-0) picked up the win in Saturday's 1-0 victory over the White Sox, scattering two hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Chicago never got a runner past first base against the right-hander. Soriano fired 46 of 73 pitches for strikes before handing things off to the Angels' bullpen in a successful 2025 debut, and after tossing 113 innings over 22 appearances (20 starts) last year, the 26-year-old should be ready to handle a bigger workload this season. Soriano's next trip to the mound is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Guardians.

Judge went 4-for-6 with a double, three home runs, four runs scored and eight RBI in Saturday's 20-9 win over the Brewers.

The eight RBI were a career high for Judge, who took former teammate Nestor Cortes deep in the first inning before belting long balls off Connor Thomas in the third and fourth. It's the third time in his career Judge has gone yard three times in a game, and he narrowly missed a fourth homer in the sixth inning. After slugging 58 homers en route to the AL MVP Award last season, Judge is off to a hot start to his 2025 campaign as he looks to repeat.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said after Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers that Refsnyder was unable to play due to an illness, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Refsnyder has yet to make his 2025 debut, though it's unclear whether his absence for the first two games of the series was due to him being under the weather or simply not being needed. He had a productive 2024 campaign and projected to serve in the weak side of the platoon in right field with Wilyer Abreu, but Refsnyder will have to overcome his illness before taking the field.
