The Angels promoted Bremner from High-A Tri-City to Double-A Rocket City on Tuesday.

Bremner will make his Double-A debut Saturday while Rocket City expands its rotation to six men as the season winds down. The 22-year-old righty submitted a 4.28 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 64:19 K:BB over 48.1 innings in 14 starts at Tri-City to earn the bump up to Double-A.

Contreras was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox due to an illness, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Contreras had gone 1-for-1 with a walk and an RBI before the illness forced him out of the game in the fifth inning. Nick Sogard will fill in as Boston's first baseman and could continue to do so if Contreras needs to miss additional time.

Tolbert is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

He had made four starts at shortstop in five games to close out the past week, but Tolbert has moved back into a utility role following Bobby Witt's reinstatement from the injured list Tuesday. With his playing time headed for a steep downturn, Tolbert's fantasy utility will be restricted to AL-only leagues, where he still carries some appeal due to his ability to contribute stolen bases even when his plate appearances are limited.

Rave will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Rave will stay in the lineup for a sixth straight game after going 6-for-16 with a solo home run, a stolen base, two doubles and two additional runs since being called up from Triple-A Omaha a week ago. So long as he's hitting well, Rave should have a pathway to a near-everyday role in the Kansas City outfield until Vinnie Pasquantino's (wrist) eventual return from the injured list forces Jac Caglianone off first base.

Keaschall is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Keaschall will get the evening off after he made starts in each of the Twins' last eight games while going 8-for-27 (.296 average) with two home runs and four RBI. Minnesota will roll out a starting outfield of Trevor Larnach, Kody Clemens and Austin Martin from left to right.

Roden is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

The left-handed-hitting Roden will hit the bench Wednesday while southpaw Noah Cameron starts on the mound for the Royals. Austin Martin will take Roden's spot in right field and bat leadoff.

Gomber signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers on Wednesday, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports.

Gomber was cut loose by Atlanta on Monday, and he'll now attempt to carve out a role for himself in the Tigers organization. The 32-year-old has posted a 6.01 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 82.1 Triple-A innings this season and will presumably slot in as organizational depth at Toledo.

Seigler is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Seigler looked as though he would settle back into a regular role at second base after Curtis Mead fractured his wrist in his team debut July 27, but the Red Sox have instead prioritized Nick Sogard ahead of him. Sogard will make a third consecutive start at the keystone Wednesday, with Seigler having been left out of the lineup for each of those contests. Seigler hasn't helped his case for playing time by going just 1-for-20 at the plate over his last eight contests.

Sogard will start at second base and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

After Curtis Mead fractured his left wrist in his team debut July 27, Sogard has emerged as the Red Sox's preferred option at the keystone. Sogard will draw his fifth consecutive start and has received the nod at second base over Anthony Seigler in four of those games. The 28-year-old also appears to be gaining traction as the Red Sox's table setter, with Sogard earning the appointment atop the lineup by getting on base at a .417 clip since he was called up from Triple-A Worcester a week ago.

Bart is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Bart will hit the bench after he started behind the plate and went 0-for-3 with a walk in his White Sox debut during Tuesday's 14-2 loss. Drew Romo will receive the nod at catcher Wednesday, but Bart could end up seeing the bulk of the reps until the White Sox get Kyle Teel (ankle) back from the injured list.
