Guerrero (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Guerrero will get a second straight day to recuperate from lower-back tightness, an issue that cropped up during Friday's 8-5 win in the series opener. Charles McAdoo will receive the start at first base in place of Guerrero, who is being viewed as day-to-day heading into the Blue Jays' series in Boston that begins Tuesday.

DeLauter (ribs) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

The rookie outfielder departed Saturday's 3-1 win due to a right rib cage contusion after a collision with the outfield wall, and he'll sit for at least one start due to the injury. According to Stebbins, manager Stephen Vogt said that DeLauter underwent an MRI and CT scan after the game, but the Guardians are still reviewing the results of his tests before determining his availability heading into the upcoming week. David Fry will pick up a start in right field Sunday for Cleveland while Rhys Hoskins serves as the club's designated hitter.

The Guardians designated Valera for assignment Sunday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Valera will cede his spot on the 40-man roster to infielder Gabriel Arias (hamstring), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. The 25-year-old Valera provided a lowly .534 OPS over 13 games during a two-week stint in the big leagues back in April and has produced a .276/.367/.417 slash line with four home runs and three steals across 150 plate appearances with Triple-A Columbus on the season. He could attract interest via waivers from organizations looking to bolster their outfield depth.

The Royals placed Pasquantino (hand) on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a right hamate fracture.

The 28-year-old sustained the injury during Saturday's game against the Astros and now seems likely to be sidelined at least through the All-Star break, though he's currently without an official timeline for his return. Jac Caglianone replaced Pasquantino at first base Saturday and is also occupying the position in Sunday's series finale while John Rave was called up from Triple-A Omaha to bolster Kansas City's bench.

Arias could see most of his playing time at third base while Jose Ramirez (hand) is sidelined due to a hamate bone fracture, but he'll be competing for reps with Daniel Schneemann.

Duran went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.

Rafaela delivered a two-out, two-run single in the seventh inning which turned out to be the game-winning hit. He continued a productive stretch and is 15-for-41 (.366) with two home runs and nine RBI over 10 games since the calendar flipped to June.

Langford went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Langford recorded multiple hits for the second straight game, going 5-for-9 with a double and two RBI in the first two games of the series in Boston. It appears the outfielder needed some time to regain his form following a six-week layoff due to a forearm strain. Langford went 3-for-23 (.130) over his first six games off the IL prior to his two-game rebound this weekend.

Burger went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Boston.

Burger swatted his 12th homer of the season. He's in a groove right now, having gone 9-for-18 with two home runs and five RBI over the last six contests to boost his slash line on the season to .248/.307/.440 over 274 plate appearances.
