Rivero will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

He'll work behind the plate for the third game in a row and appears on track to operate as the Angels' No. 1 catcher in the short term while both Logan O'Hoppe (wrist) and Travis d'Arnaud (foot) are stuck on the injured list. Rivero has posted a .175/.230/.211 slash line over 123 career plate appearances in the majors and will provide most of his value as a defender rather than with the bat.

Langeliers went 2-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Saturday's victory over the Orioles.

Langeliers opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning before driving in another run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth frame. It was another strong effort for the catcher, who currently owns a 10-game hitting streak that includes seven multi-hit performances. Overall, Langeliers has built on his breakout 2025 campaign with massive numbers through 35 contests in 2026, slashing .340/.391/.626 with 11 homers, nine doubles, 22 RBI and 28 runs scored.

Mayo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

He'll take a seat for the series finale while the Orioles go with Weston Wilson at third base. Mayo had started the last five games, going 2-for-16 with an 0:7 BB:K during that stretch to bring his slash line down to .158/.218/.277 for the season.

jackson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

While starting the last four games, Jackson went just 2-for-14 at the dish, dropping his season batting average to .246. Blaze Alexander will step in at second base Sunday in place of Jackson, who has been a near-everyday player for most of the season but could soon be at risk of falling into a part-time role due to Jackson Holliday (hand) moving closer to a return from the injured list.

Palacios is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

The left-handed hitter will be left out of the starting nine once again while the Rays face off against a fourth consecutive left-handed starting pitcher in Payton Tolle. Palacios' platoon mate Ben Williamson will handle second base and bat third.

Fraley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

The left-handed hitter will be left out of the starting nine once again while the Rays face off against a fourth consecutive left-handed starting pitcher in Payton Tolle. Fraley's platoon partner, Jonny DeLuca, will cover right field for the Rays.

Aranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Aranda will exit the lineup for just the third time all season, with Rays manager Kevin Cash electing to give the left-handed batter the afternoon off while southpaw Payton Tolle takes the hill for Boston. Ryan Vilade will cover first base for Tampa Bay.

The Blue Jays scratched Barger from the starting nine for Sunday's game against the Angels due to a sore right elbow.

Barger had been slated to bat leadoff and start in right field in his second game back from the IL, but he'll end up hitting the bench while he tends to an injury that may have resulted from a 101.2 mph throw from right field Saturday that erased Jorge Soler at the plate and prevented a run. Ernie Clement is now in line to serve as Toronto's table setter in the series finale, while Myles Straw was a late addition to the starting outfield. After a month-long stint on the injured list due to left and right ankle sprains, Barger was activated Saturday and went 0-for-3 with two walks and a run scored in the Blue Jays' 14-1 victory.

Hernaiz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

He appeared to have a clear path to regular playing time at third base after Max Muncy (hand) was placed on the injured list in late April, but Zack Gelof has since overtaken Hernaiz as the preferred option at the hot corner. Gelof will occupy the position for a fifth straight game after Hernaiz went 1-for-13 with a 3:4 BB:K to begin the month of May.

Benintendi (neck) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

The veteran outfielder was scratched from the lineup Saturday due to neck stiffness and is on the bench Sunday for a second straight game. Randal Grichuk is receiving another start at designated hitter in the series finale versus Seattle.
