Vazquez signed a one-year contract with the Orioles on Thursday.

Vazquez appeared in 36 games for Baltimore in 2025, slashing .160/.208/.240 over 53 plate appearances. He put up far better numbers at Triple-A, logging a .756 OPS over 43 contests. The 26-year-old infielder will now officially return for a second year in the Orioles organization, though he figures to remain a depth piece.

Manager John Schneider said Thursday that there's a strong chance Springer (side) returns to the starting lineup in Game 6 of the World Series on Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Toronto's skipper added that Springer has "checked every box physically so far" and nearly returned to the lineup in Game 5, but the Jays instead opted to give the outfielder another day to recover. His return to the lineup after a two-game absence would provide Toronto's offense with a significant power boost, as the 36-year-old has posted a .561 slugging percentage across 65 plate appearances in the postseason.

Miller will have a follow-up appointment soon with Dr. Keith Meister to determine the next steps for treatment of a small bone spur in his right elbow, Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports.

Miller received a platelet-rich plasma injection in early June after being diagnosed with a bone spur in his pitching elbow. He returned in August and was healthy for the rest of the regular season and playoffs, saying "the best I felt all year" was at the end of the season. Miller is not expected to require surgery, but he could be given a cortisone injection during his follow-up appointment and perhaps an additional one at the start of spring training. The 27-year-old had a disappointing regular season for the Mariners, posting a 5.68 ERA and 74:34 K:BB over 90.1 innings covering 18 starts.

The Tigers re-signed Nido to a minor-league contract Thursday with an invitation to spring training.

Nido finished the 2025 season with the Tigers after stops with the Mets and Cubs. A career .215/.249/.310 hitter over parts of nine big-league seasons, the 31-year-old Nido is slated to begin the 2026 season as experienced catching depth at Triple-A Toledo.

The Orioles re-signed Garcia to a one-year contract Thursday.

Garcia pitched for three different teams during the 2025 season but finished out the year strongly with the Orioles, collecting a 2.84 ERA and 20:6 K:BB over 19 innings. The right-hander will turn 32 in January and should fill a middle-relief role in Baltimore next season.

Yesavage (3-1) picked up the win in Game 5 of the World Series against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing one earned run on three hits and no walks while striking out 12 batters in seven innings.

Outside of the third-inning solo homer he gave up to Enrique Hernandez, Yesavage's performance Wednesday was nothing short of brilliant versus one of baseball's most dynamic offenses. The 22-year-old righty pounded the strike zone, throwing 71 of his 104 pitches for strikes, and he finished the night with a dozen punchouts -- the most any rookie has had in a World Series game. Now carrying a 3.46 ERA in the postseason, Yesavage is done starting games in 2025, but he's expected to be available out of the bullpen if the series goes to Game 7.

Springer (side) isn't in the lineup for Game 5 of the World Series against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Manager John Schneider said Wednesday that Springer has made "significant progress" in his recovery since exiting Game 3 with a side injury, per Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca, but evidently not enough to return to the starting nine for the final game in Los Angeles. Bo Bichette will get another start as Toronto's designated hitter Wednesday; meanwhile, Springer could be available as a pinch hitter.

Elko is expected to be sidelined for eight months following surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ACL in his right knee, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Elko was diagnosed with a right knee sprain July 11 and was sidelined for three-plus weeks. He did not miss any additional time after that during the 2025 season, but a recent medical exam evidently revealed the need for surgery. With Elko slated to be out until around midseason of next year, he'll likely open the campaign on the 60-day injured list.

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Dodgers in Game 4 of the World Series.

With the Blue Jays down 1-0 in the top of the third inning and Nathan Lukes standing on first, Guerrero hit a 395-foot shot off Shohei Ohtani to give Toronto a lead that it wouldn't relinquish for the rest of the game. The 26-year-old slugger has now belted seven home runs in the postseason and sports a monstrous 1.306 OPS through 74 plate appearances.

Bieber earned the win during Game 4 of the World Series against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters across 5.1 innings.

Bieber allowed the Dodgers to take a 1-0 lead in the second inning courtesy of a sacrifice fly from Enrique Hernandez, but the right-hander settled in nicely afterward, allowing just two of the next 12 batters he faced to reach base. He also did the Blue Jays' bullpen -- extremely fatigued from Monday's 18-inning marathon -- a solid by pitching into the sixth inning. Mason Fluharty returned the favor after Bieber's removal by stranding both of the inherited runners, keeping the latter in line for the win. Now carrying a 3.57 ERA through 17.2 innings in the postseason, the 30-year-old figures to have made his last start, though he could be available out of the bullpen going forward.
