The Mariners are expected to give Emerson "runway" to win an Opening Day roster spot, Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports.

Most of Emerson's playing time in the minors has come at shortstop, but he's also played some second base and third base. With Eugenio Suarez entering free agency, the hot corner appears the most likely path for Emerson, who is expected to compete with Ben Williamson for the starting job. Emerson is just 20 and has only six games of experience at Triple-A Tacoma, but Jude notes that the Mariners considered putting Emerson on their playoff roster taxi squad. The left-handed hitter slashed .285/.383/.458 with 16 home runs and 14 stolen bases over 130 games across three levels in the minors in 2025.

Hoffman secured the save after striking out three batters in a perfect ninth inning during Monday's 4-3 victory in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series against the Mariners.

Hoffman entered the matchup with just three outs standing in the way of a trip to the World Series, and he didn't mess around. He needed only 14 pitches to slam the door, striking out Leo Rivas, Dominic Canzone and Julio Rodriguez to help Toronto advance. Hoffman made four appearances during the ALCS, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out 10 over five innings of work.

Kirby didn't factor into the decision during Monday's 4-3 loss in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings.

Kirby was tagged for a run in the bottom of the first inning after issuing a leadoff walk, followed by a pair of singles. However, he was able to escape the jam without suffering further damage and exited the matchup with a lead. Kirby responded nicely from a disastrous outing in Game 3, when he surrendered eight runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four in four-plus frames.

Bieber allowed two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over 3.2 innings during Monday's 4-3 win in Game 7 over the Mariners. He didn't factor into the decision.

Bieber was hit hard early in Monday's outing, as Seattle got to him for a run in the top of the first inning, and Julio Rodriguez would deliver a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the third. While seven hits in fewer than four frames doesn't often result in success, Bieber managed to navigate around traffic on the bases to keep his club in the game, later exiting with a one-run deficit. Overall, the veteran right-hander delivered a solid ALCS, surrendering four runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out 13 across 9.2 innings (two starts). He'll certainly be leaned on in the World Series against the Dodgers and will likely be tapped to start either Game 2 or Game 3.

Springer went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, one walk and two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 victory over Seattle in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.

Springer's lone hit of the evening was a huge one, as he delivered a three-run blast over the fence in left field during the bottom of the seventh inning to put his team ahead by a run. The bullpen would do the rest, sending the Blue Jays to the World Series for the first time since 1993. Springer managed to navigate through an injury scare after being struck by a pitch in the right knee during Game 5, managing to return immediately to the lineup in Game 6 before providing the clutch hit of the series in Game 7.

Guerrero was named the Most Valuable Player of the American League Championship Series following Monday's 4-3 victory in Game 7 against the Mariners.

Guerrero delivered big hits for his team throughout the series, but his most notable performance occurred in Game 3 on the road, where he went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, one walk and three runs scored in a 13-4 win. This effort helped his club avoid a three-game deficit in the series, setting the stage for a comeback victory in Game 7. Guerrero would finish the ALCS 10-for-26 with three solo home runs, three doubles, four walks and six runs scored, helping Toronto to the World Series for the first time since 1993.

Bichette (knee) stated after Monday's 4-3 win over the Mariners in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series that he'll be ready for Game 1 of the World Series on Friday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

This update comes hours after the team stated that Bichette has made "significant progress" in his recovery from a PCL sprain in his left knee. He'll have three more days to test the knee before the club announces the finalized roster for the World Series. While it appears that Bichette will indeed be available, it remains to be seen whether he'll be penciled into the lineup for Game 1 considering he hasn't participated in a live game in over six weeks.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Monday that Berrios (elbow) has resumed throwing but will not be on the World Series roster, should his team advance, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Berrios' last appearance came Sept. 24 and his last start was Sept. 16, as he's been shelved for nearly a month with right elbow inflammation. While it's good news that he's been cleared to resume a throwing program, the window for him to pitch in games again in 2025 has closed. Barring a setback, Berrios should have a normal offseason.

Whether that progress has been sufficient enough to be included on the Blue Jays' World Series roster -- should they advance -- is not yet clear, but Bichette is moving in the right direction as he works his way back from a PCL sprain in his left knee. The World Series begins Friday, so if the Blue Jays are able to defeat the Mariners in Game 7 of the ALCS, Bichette will have a few additional days to convince the club he's ready. The 27-year-old has not played in a game in more than six weeks.

Robles will start in right field and bat ninth in Monday's ALCS Game 7 in Toronto.

It's the first start since ALCS Game 3 for Robles, who is 1-for-12 with a 1:4 K:BB during the series. Dominic Canzone will retreat to the bench for the Mariners in Monday's winner-take-all contest.
