Raleigh is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals due to right side soreness and is considered day-to-day, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Raleigh was sent for an MRI after being scratched from the lineup Saturday due to unspecified soreness, which the Mariners have now identified, but the American League MVP runner-up has indicated that his injured side is already feeling better, per Divish. Raleigh was able to take some swings in the batting cage earlier Sunday, but he's unlikely to get used as a pinch hitter in the series finale versus Kansas City. He could return to the lineup Monday against Atlanta, however, either at catcher or designated hitter.

Langeliers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians in order to be with his wife following the birth of their child, Jason Burke of SI.com reports.

It doesn't sound as though Langeliers is heading to the paternity list, with Sunday's game off followed by a team off day Monday. Tyler Soderstrom will serve as the Athletics' emergency catcher Sunday with backup Austin Wynns starting behind the plate.

The Angels placed Kikuchi on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to left shoulder inflammation.

The left-hander departed his most recent start Wednesday against the White Sox due to shoulder tightness, and he'll spend at least the next couple weeks on the shelf due to the injury. According to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, Kikuchi's MRI is still being evaluated, so it's possible his diagnosis is updated in the near future. It's been a rough start to the season even prior to the injury, with the 34-year-old carrying a 5.81 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB over 31 innings.

Ryan was removed from Sunday's start against the Blue Jays due to right elbow soreness, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Ryan threw just nine pitches -- recording one out and issuing a walk -- before departing. His final offering was a 90.9 mph fastball, which is down from his typical velocity. Ryan will likely undergo medical imaging, at which point there should be a better idea of his availability for his next turn through the rotation and beyond.

Palacios is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Though he had started each of the last three matchups with right-handed pitchers, Palacios will give way to Ben Williamson at second base against righty Tyler Mahle. Both Palacios and Williamson are likely headed for reductions in playing time at the keystone with Gavin Lux (shoulder/ankle) drawing closer to a return from the injured list.

The Orioles optioned Raquet to Triple-A Norfolk.

He'll give up his spot on the roster to Trey Gibson, who was called up from Norfolk to start Sunday's game against the Yankees. Raquet's latest stint in the majors lasted just one day, with the 30-year-old tossing a scoreless inning in Saturday's 9-4 loss.

The right-hander struck out Yohendrick Pinango to start the game and then walked Kazuma Okamoto, after which Ryan signaled to the dugout and exited the contest with training staff. The nature of the injury isn't clear, but Ryan's availability for his next turn through the rotation is now in question.

Beavers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The left-handed hitter will head to the bench against a second straight lefty starter in Max Fried. Tyler O'Neill will once again spell Beavers in right field.

The Orioles selected Gibson's contract from Triple-A Norfolk, and he will start Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Gibson will fill the rotation spot vacated by Trevor Rogers, who recently landed on the injured list due to an illness. The 23-year-old righty is one of the organization's top prospects and has a 4.01 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB across 24.2 innings to begin the season with Norfolk. Gibson is likely in line for just one start with the Orioles, but a strong debut could give himself a chance of getting a longer look in the majors.

Cowser is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

On the bench for the eighth time in nine games, Cowser appears to have faded into a part-time role with the recent return of Tyler O'Neill having created a logjam in the outfield. Cowser's reduction in playing time comes while he's struck out in 31.4 percent of his plate appearances en route to a .183/.275/.217 slash line for the season.
