The Blue Jays activated Lukes (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Lukes has been shelved for more than a month with a left hamstring strain but has been cleared to return to the active roster after going 3-for-9 with one home run in four rehab contests. The 31-year-old will likely operate as an active fourth outfielder for Toronto.

Jung (shoulder) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Astros.

Jung had to be removed from Saturday's game against the Angels because of left shoulder soreness and has now missed two straight starts. Per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, an MRI on Jung's shoulder came back negative. He could return to the lineup as soon as Tuesday, though it's not a given. Ezequiel Duran will grab another start at third base in Jung's stead.

The Guardians recalled Heuer from Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

It will be the third stint with the big club this month for Heuer, who has allowed one run with a 3:1 K:BB over 2.2 innings in his two appearances for the Guardians this season. He's absorbing the spot in the bullpen vacated by the injured Erik Sabrowski (elbow).

The Guardians placed Sabrowski on the 15-day injured list Monday with left elbow inflammation.

Sabrowski hasn't pitched since last Wednesday, so he might have been dealing with a tender elbow for a few days. It will be a big blow for the Guardians for however long Sabrowski is sidelined, as he's been one of the best relievers in baseball this season with a 1.71 ERA and 39:13 K:BB over 21 innings. The southpaw has notched a league-leading 17 holds.

Twins manager Derek Shelton confirmed Monday that Lee will be used primarily at third base moving forward, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Lee's glove work at shortstop has been poor, and with Royce Lewis having been optioned to Triple-A St. Paul, Lee has made four straight starts at the hot corner. Ryan Kreidler looks to be in line for the bulk of the starts at shortstop for the time being, though top prospect Kaelen Culpepper could get a look at the position before long.

Schneemann is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

The left-handed-hitting Schneemann will begin the contest on the bench as the Nationals roll with lefty PJ Poulin as their opener and righty Zack Littell as their bulk reliever. With Schneemann resting, the Guardians will start Angel Martinez, Steven Kwan and Chase DeLauter in their outfield and Rhys Hoskins at designated hitter.

Madden (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

It's been a quick bounce-back for Madden, who landed on the 15-day injured list just over a week ago with a bruised right forearm. He's eligible to return from the IL on Sunday and could be activated at that time, though it's unclear what role he might fill. Madden has pitched well as a bulk reliever for the Tigers, posting a 2.38 ERA and 12:2 K:BB over 11.1 innings, but with Troy Melton back in the fold, there might not be room to carry Madden on the big-league roster.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Monday that Ragans (elbow) will be shut down for 2-to-3 days after not bouncing back well from Saturday's rehab start with Triple-A Omaha, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Ragans pitched well in the outing, striking out three over 4.1 innings of one-run ball. Quatraro noted that while Ragans' left elbow was not sore during the start, afterward he felt similar symptoms to when he landed on the 15-day injured list earlier this month with an elbow impingement. Ragans had been trending toward rejoining the Royals' rotation this week, but now that he's had a setback, his timetable is up in the air.

McMahon is not in the lineup for Monday's tilt in Kansas City.

It's a rare instance of the left-handed-hitting McMahon not starting against a right-hander, but it makes sense because righty Michael Wacha has reverse splits. Jose Caballero will slide over to third base and Anthony Volpe will start at second base for the Yankees.

Wells is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Kansas City.

Wells started at catcher the last two games against the Rays, so he'll get a breather during Monday's afternoon contest. J.C. Escarra will be behind the dish and bat eighth for the Yankees.
