Fedde didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Nationals, allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits and four walks with one strikeout across 5.2 innings.

Fedde worked as the bulk reliever behind opener Bryan Hudson, who gave up one hit and one walk with one strikeout in a scoreless first inning. Fedde threw 91 pitches but generated just five whiffs. While the right-hander has survived for the most part in the early going this season, his numbers are probably better than he's pitched, as Fedde will carry a 3.42 ERA and 16:11 K:BB across 26.1 innings into his next appearance. He doesn't have swing-and-miss stuff and fully relies on his defense.

Cortes went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI in Friday's 8-1 win over the Rangers.

Cortes clubbed one of three first-inning solo homers for the Athletics and later broke the game open with a three-run shot in the fifth. The 28-year-old has carried a productive bat of late, going 10-for-21 with two doubles, three homers, five RBI and four runs during a modest five-game hit streak. That strong run has boosted his OPS for the season to 1.028, and he's delivered that with a miniscule 6.5 percent strikeout rate.

Murakami went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and walk in Friday's 5-4 win over the Nationals.

With the bases empty in the fourth inning, Murakami took Miles Mikolas deep for his 11th homer, tying Yordan Alvarez for the league lead. After his five-game home run streak was snapped Thursday, the slugger is ready to start another one. He now has seven long balls in his last nine games, and 11 of his 23 hits this season have gone over the wall. Murakami has proven to be a three-true-outcome hitter early in his MLB career, homering, walking or striking out in over 61 percent of his 113 plate appearances. He's now slashing .256/.398/.622 with 11 round-trippers, 20 RBI, 20 runs scored and a 22:36 BB:K.

Eovaldi (2-4) took the loss Friday, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk across six innings against the Athletics. He struck out three.

The veteran right-hander served up a home run to Nick Kurtz on the first pitch of the game, with Carlos Cortes and Tyler Soderstrom delivering back-to-back long balls later in the frame. Eovaldi then followed up with three scoreless innings before Cortes launched a three-run homer in the fifth. Eovaldi has now surrendered nine home runs through six starts this season, nearly matching his total of allowed round trippers (10) over 22 starts in 2025. Things won't get any easier for the 36-year-old, as a matchup with the Yankees likely awaits next week.

Severino (1-2) earned the win Friday against the Rangers, allowing one run on six hits and one walk across 6.2 innings. He struck out five.

It was the best performance of the young season for Severino, who gave up fewer than two runs and issued fewer than three walks in a start for the first time this season. The veteran right-hander will likely need to continue to keep the walks down to have a chance of improving on the 4.54 ERA and 1.30 WHIP he posted in 2025. As it stands, Severino has a 5.17 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 32:21 K:BB through six starts this year.

Cannon (hip) threw a bullpen session Wednesday and could begin a rehab assignment shortly, MLB.com reports.

Cannon went to the injured list April 14, but a clear timeline for his return was never established. That remains the case, as there has been nothing reported about his response to the bullpen session or when he will throw again. However, because a rehab assignment will be required, Cannon will be sidelined at least into early May.

Kremer (quadriceps) is expected to miss several weeks, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The Orioles put Kremer on the 15-day injured list Thursday due to a right quadriceps strain, and the team is preparing to be without him for more than just the minimum stay. The right-hander could be able to rejoin Baltimore's rotation at some point in the middle of May. Meanwhile, Brandon Young is taking Kremer's place in Baltimore's rotation for the time being.

Aranda went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs during Friday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Aranda hit homers in the fourth and sixth innings as part of his first multi-homer game of the season. It was just the second multi-hit game for the 27-year-old over his last 13 games after having four in his first 12 contests. Regardless, he has been one of the Rays' best run producers on the season, notching 21 RBI through 25 games played while slashing .236/.366/.483.

Henderson went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional runs scored during the Orioles' 10-3 win over the Red Sox on Friday.

Henderson opened the scoring with a first-inning shot off Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello on Friday, which was one of three long balls for the Orioles in the frame. It was also the star shortstop's second three-hit game of the year and his first since April 3. For the season, Henderson is batting just .207 but does have 13 extra-base hits, 16 RBI, 18 runs scored and four stolen bases over 111 at-bats.

Melton (ankle) is expected to be out of action for at least four weeks, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Melton suffered a Grade 2 left ankle sprain in a minor-league game Tuesday, and he could be sidelined for as much as six weeks. The timetable for a return likely means the 25-year-old outfielder will be on the shelf until at least some point in late May. Melton, one of Tampa Bay's top prospects, was slashing .231/.346/.431 with 10 extra-base hits, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and 17 stolen bases over 82 plate appearances for Triple-A Durham before going down.
