The Phillies recalled Rangel from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Rangel will provide the Phillies with some extra bullpen coverage in Sunday's series finale versus the Blue Jays, but if he isn't needed for that contest, he could be an option to make a spot start. Andrew Painter (hamstring) and Aaron Nola (knee) each exited their most recent starts early, though both are tentatively in line to take their next turns through the rotation.

Hill (shoulder) completed a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Hill has been ramping up his activity the last few weeks, and his session Saturday reportedly went according to plan. The right-hander has been sidelined since June 20 due to shoulder tendinitis.

The Nationals recalled Bird from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday.

Bird will join the Washington bullpen as a replacement for left-hander Carson Palmquist, who was optioned to Triple-A following Saturday's 8-2 win. The Nationals are treating Sunday's series finale as a bullpen game, so Bird could be called upon to cover an inning or two once opening pitcher Brad Lord exits the contest. Acquired from the Yankees on Monday in a five-player trade, Bird will be making his Nationals debut when he gets into a game.

Karros went 0-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases Saturday against the Cardinals.

It wasn't a typical performance for Karros, but he was productive nonetheless. He reached base in the first and third innings and stole second base on each occasion, and he later lifted a sacrifice fly to provide an insurance run in the ninth frame. Karros has continued his strong season since the All-Star break, hitting .294 with eight RBI and 10 runs scored across 16 contests.

Williamson (shoulder) will make his next rehab start at Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Williamson, who began a rehab assignment last week with a two-inning outing for Double-A Chattanooga, will be making his third rehab start and second for Louisville. He'll be targeting around 60 pitches in Tuesday's outing, after he allowed four runs on two hits and two walks while recording two outs his last time out for Louisville.

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that Martinez (elbow) will shift his rehab assignment to Triple-A Reno during the upcoming week, MLB.com reports.

Martinez made the first two appearances of his rehab assignment with Single-A Visalia on Tuesday and Friday, striking out three batters over two no-hit innings between the outings. The right-hander will likely continue his rehab assignment for at least one more week, but if he continues to excel during his time at Reno, he could step into a prominent role in the Arizona bullpen upon his return from the 60-day injured list. Arizona is currently taking a committee approach to the closer position after Paul Sewald was removed from the role in late July.

Rea allowed two runs on four hits and two walks across four innings of relief in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Royals.

This was Rea's first relief appearance since getting skipped in the rotation following Chicago's acquisition of Kevin Gausman and Clay Holmes before the trade deadline. Holmes made his team debut Saturday and was shaky in his four innings of work, allowing fours runs on six hits and two walks. It was also his first appearance in nearly two months due to a fractured fibula, so he likely just needs to shake off a little rust. That should leave Rea in a bullpen role for now, though he is capable of starting if a need arises.

Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a walk, a triple and a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

Perdomo was one of a few Diamondbacks in the upper half of the batting order that had been struggling coming out of the All-Star break, but he's rebounded nicely and was recently elevated to leadoff. The shortstop has five multi-hit games over his last nine contests, during which he's gone 15-for-37 (.405) with one double, two triples, one home run, five RBI and four runs scored.

Happ went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Royals.

Happ went long against Kansas City starter Seth Lugo in the sixth inning for his 19th home run of the season. The veteran outfielder is on the cusp of his fourth straight 20-homer campaign and the sixth of his 10-year MLB career. Overall, Happ is slashing .212/.322/.411 across 114 games, and he's chipped in 49 RBI and 67 runs scored as well.

Roupp (7-11) took the loss against Detroit on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and five walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings.

Roupp's biggest flaw was his command, as evidenced by the five free passes he handed out. Despite that, the Tigers managed just one run against him, largely because Roupp gave up just two hits (both second-inning singles). The right-hander was mostly cruising until the sixth frame, when he walked three of the four batters he faced before being pulled for reliever Keaton Winn, who immediately issued a walk of his own to put a run on Roupp's ledger. Free passes have been an issue for Roupp of late -- he's handed out 12 walks to 10 punchouts across his past three starts spanning 13.2 innings. His 4.15 BB/9 is the fifth-worst mark in the majors among qualified starters and a big reason why he's sitting on a mediocre 4.22 ERA through 23 starts.
