Merrill went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the White Sox.

Merrill is on a heater at the plate, tallying multiple hits in four of his last six games. Six of his 15 homers for the year have come in the past 13 games, during which the center fielder is batting .321 with 11 RBI and 12 runs scored. That said, Merrill has just one stolen base over 109 contests amid what's been an injury-plagued campaign, and he hasn't even attempted to steal a base since June 14 after swiping 16 bags during the 2024 regular season.

Tatis went 1-for-5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 7-3 win over the White Sox.

It was the third multi-steal game of the season by Tatis, who swiped multiple bags for the first time since Aug. 9 against Boston. The All-Star right fielder has at least two hits in four of his last seven outings amid his first career 20-homer, 30-steal campaign. Through 580 at-bats, Tatis is hitting .266 with 22 long balls and 65 RBI to go with career highs in runs scored (107) and steals (32).

Marquez (3-15) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Angels.

This was one of Marquez's best starts of the year, but it went unrewarded as the Rockies failed to generate any run support. He still allowed a pair of home runs, which were solo shots by Taylor Ward and Nolan Schanuel. Marquez has lost four of five starts since returning from biceps tendinitis, and he's allowed 26 runs over 23.2 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 6.49 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 82:45 K:BB through 122 innings across 25 starts. The right-hander's last start of the season is projected to be at San Francisco.

Alvarez went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Tigers.

The 22-year-old infielder had zero homers through his first 59 big-league games, but Alvarez snapped that streak Saturday by taking Keider Montero deep in the third inning, and then he did the same to Kyle Finnegan in the eighth. Over 18 games in September while handling starting third-base duties in place of Austin Riley (abdomen), Alvarez is batting .288 (15-for-52) with four runs and seven RBI.

Iglesias worked a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 27th save of the season in a 6-5 win over the Tigers. He didn't walk or strike out a batter.

It was his 16th straight successful conversion. Iglesias will likely fall a bit short of his third straight 30-save season, but the 35-year-old closer turned his campaign around in impressive fashion after a rough start. After sitting with a 6.00 ERA on June 17, Iglesias has proceeded to post a 1.51 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 39:8 K:BB over his last 35.2 innings.

Johnston went 2-for-4 with a home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 4-3 win over Texas.

Johnston blasted his fourth homer of the season, also logging multiple hits for the fourth time this month. The rookie outfielder has made a nice impression since being called up in late July, as he's settled in as Miami's primary right fielder. Through his first 99 at-bats, Johnston is batting .283 with four long balls, 13 RBI, 10 runs scored and two stolen bases.

Contreras (hand/wrist) underwent X-rays following Saturday's game against the Cardinals, which came back clean, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Contreras was hit in the wrist and hand area by a swing in the seventh inning and was removed a frame later. He made clear to manager Pat Murphy that he wants to play Sunday, though the Brewers could opt to take a safe approach. Regardless, Contreras appears to have dodged a major injury.

Faucher earned the save Saturday against Texas, allowing one run on two hits and one walk in the ninth inning.

It wasn't easy for Faucher, who stranded the possible tying and go-ahead runs by getting Joc Pederson to pop up to end the game. The right-hander has a career-high 15 saves as Miami's primary closer this season, recording a respectable 3.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 58.2 innings. That said, Tyler Phillips and Lake Bachar are also in the ninth-inning mix for the Marlins.

Patrick yielded two runs on five hits and no walks over 4.1 innings with three strikeouts and took a no-decision in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning victory at St. Louis.

Patrick reentered the Milwaukee rotation because Jose Quintana (calf) recently landed on the injured list. The rookie right-hander was fairly effective during his time on the mound, as he didn't give up any extra-base hits. The two runs Patrick allowed came on RBI singles by Nolan Arenado and Brendan Donovan. The 27-year-old now sports a 3.66 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 119:37 K:BB across 115.2 total innings. Patrick currently projects to make his next start at home against the Reds next weekend.

Mikolas did not factor into the decision in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Milwaukee. He allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings with three strikeouts.

The St. Louis right-hander continued his recent run of solid form, notching his fifth straight outing with two or fewer runs allowed. Mikolas coughed up his first run in the second on a Joey Ortiz single while the second run on his register scored on an Andrew Vaughn sacrifice fly given up by reliever Kyle Leahy in the sixth. Across 151.1 total frames, Mikolas has pitched to a 4.76 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 96:36 K:BB while conceding 26 long balls. He currently lines up to make his final start of the season against the division-rival Cubs in Chicago next weekend.
