Tidwell (0-1) allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Tidwell hadn't given up multiple homers in an outing this season until this start, as all of Lars Nootbaar, Corbin Carroll and Tim Tawa tagged him for a long ball. Those big flies counted for all six runs on Tidwell's line. He's allowed 12 runs over his last 15 innings, but his scoreless start last weekend in Boston offered a glimpse of what he can do when he's on. Tidwell has a 4.54 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB over 37.2 innings across 13 games (five starts) this season. The Giants' depleted rotation likely means Tidwell is safe in a starting role for the rest of the year, and he's projected to make his next start at Pittsburgh.

Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 10-6 win over the Giants.

Perdomo logged a steal for the second game in a row. He's batting .361 (13-for-36) over his last 10 games, though just two of those hits have gone for extra bases. The shortstop is batting .254 with a .737 OPS, 19 steals, nine home runs, 46 RBI, 63 runs scored, 18 doubles and six triples over 131 contests this season. While he's been nowhere near his 20-homer, .851 OPS performance from last year, he continues to occupy a starting role thanks to his strong ability to get on base.

Tawa went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 10-6 win over the Giants.

Tawa had gone 0-for-8 with three walks over his previous three games. He delivered a third-inning homer as part of a five-run rally. Tawa is up to nine homers this year, five of which have come in August. He's batting .246 with a .711 OPS, 35 RBI, 28 runs scored, 10 doubles and seven stolen bases over 79 contests and has settled into a starting role at first base lately.

Carroll went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a third RBI in Friday's 10-6 win over the Giants.

Carroll homered as part of a third-inning rally for the Diamondbacks, and he plated another run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. He's been good for most of the month but had gone 0-for-7 over his previous two games. The star outfielder is batting .248 with an .830 OPS, 19 homers, 61 RBI, 82 runs scored, 28 doubles, 16 triples and 20 stolen bases across 132 contests this season.

Nootbaar went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a second run scored in Friday's 10-6 win over the Giants.

This was Nootbaar's best game in an Arizona uniform and just his second multi-hit effort since he was acquired from the Cardinals. He's batting just .211 (12-for-57) with two homers, three doubles and six RBI over 18 games since the trade. The rough stretch has him down to a .228 average and .687 OPS with five homers, 22 RBI, 28 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 66 contests this season.

Drake allowed five runs on four hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out four over four innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Friday.

Drake's first start in the majors since Aug. 6 led to him giving up a season-high five runs. He struggled in two outings for Triple-A during August as well, giving up a total of 10 runs (nine earned) over five innings. Drake is at a 6.53 ERA and 17:7 K:BB through 20.2 innings across his first five starts in the majors. The Diamondbacks have a bit of a patchwork rotation at the moment, which could afford him one more start -- tentatively lined up to be at Houston -- before Michael Soroka (shoulder) and Zac Gallen (elbow) would be ready to return from their respective stints on the injured list.

Sosa went 1-for-1 with a grand slam in Friday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Sosa was brought in to pinch hit for Brandon Marsh in the ninth inning and delivered a game-changing blast. While Sosa's playing time remains sparse, he has gone 11-for-27 (.407) over his last 10 games, dating back to July 29. The utility man is batting .235 with a .663 OPS, six homers, 39 RBI, 24 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and three stolen bases across 212 plate appearances this year.

Kent (1-2) picked up the win in Friday's 9-2 rout of the Marlins, allowing one run on three hits and four walks over seven innings. He struck out three.

After three shaky performances to begin his big-league career. Kent found a groove Friday, firing 64 of 106 pitches for strikes to record his first win and first quality start for the Nationals. His control remained a concern, however, and through 19.1 innings he has a discouraging 17:15 K:BB. The 23-year-old lefty may not be ready for a rotation spot, but with Washington out of playoff contention, the team will likely let him take his lumps over the final weeks of 2026. Kent is scheduled to make his next trip to the mound at home next week against Atlanta.

Bowlan didn't allow a hit or a walk but hit one batsman and struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Jhoan Duran last pitched Wednesday, his lone appearance of the week, so it's curious that he didn't get the closing assignment Friday. Duran's last save came Aug. 19 versus the Marlins. Bowlan got the job done Friday despite a little shakiness, earning his second save of the season to go with 11 holds. Bowlan's picked up both saves and six of his holds since the All-Star break, a span in which he's allowed a modest five runs over 18 innings. He's at a 2.77 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 60:14 K:BB across 48.2 innings this season, gaining trust in high-leverage spots along the way.

Painter allowed three runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Friday.

That's back-to-back quality starts for Painter, though the Phillies' offense didn't really come alive until the ninth inning. The right-hander allowed 12 runs over 27.1 innings across his five starts in August, adding a 26:10 K:BB. An ugly June and subsequent stint at Triple-A did some damage to his overall numbers, but he's been decent since returning to the majors at the end of July. On the year, Painter has a 5.95 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 85:37 K:BB through 98.1 innings over 20 games (18 starts). He's projected to make his next start in Arizona.
