The Rockies placed Dollander on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a patella tendon strain in his left knee.

Dollander will be eligible to return from the injured list to start one of the Rockies' final games of the season, but the more likely outcome is that Colorado keeps him on the shelf for the rest of the year. If that ends up being the case, he would finish his rookie campaign with a 6.52 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 82:49 K:BB through 98 innings across 21 starts. Bradley Blalock was recalled from Triple-A to round out Colorado's rotation.

The Rockies recalled Blalock from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

The 24-year-old righty will fill the open spot in Colorado's rotation created by Chase Dollander's (knee) move to the IL. Blalock has accumulated an 8.62 ERA and 1.79 WHIP through 47 MLB innings this season and will face a Padres offense that put up 12 runs against him on May 10, so fantasy managers searching for streaming options are likely better off looking elsewhere.

Caissie was removed from Saturday's game against the Rays due to concussion symptoms, Jared Wyllys of AllCHGO.com reports.

Caissie's head collided with the outfield wall while he made a catch in the third inning, and manager Craig Counsell said the outfielder's condition only declined after that point. He'll enter concussion protocol and could soon be headed to the 7-day injured list, which would presumably open up playing time in the outfield for Willi Castro.

A CT scan and an MRI on Marte's right foot came back negative Saturday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Marte sat out Friday's game due to a bruised right foot, and multiple tests have now confirmed that his injury isn't more serious than the team initially thought. The star second baseman will test his foot before Saturday's game against the Twins to determine whether he'll return to the starting lineup.

Turner (hamstring) did some pole running and played catch Saturday, and he may swing a bat Sunday or Monday, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Turner appears to be making progress from the hamstring strain that caused him to go on the 10-day IL on Sept. 8. It doesn't seem likely that the veteran shortstop will be ready to return when first eligible, but the hope remains that he'll be able to get some games in before the postseason. Edmundo Sosa had been filling in at shortstop most days for Philadelphia, but he's currently dealing with a groin issue, so Bryson Stott is starting at the position Saturday.

Romano (finger) recently experienced stiffness in his neck as well as numbness in his middle finger, and Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Saturday that the reliever may be dealing with a "nerve thing," Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Romano landed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 26 for what was initially described as right middle-finger inflammation. Thomson's comments suggest the right-hander's issue may be tied to a nerve problem, though that's not an official diagnosis. It's unclear at this point if Romano will be able to return to the Phillies' bullpen by the end of the regular season.

Wheeler (shoulder) is slated to have thoracic outlet decompression surgery Sept. 23, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Wheeler underwent a procedure in mid-August to remove a blood clot near his shoulder, and he's set for a second (and more significant) procedure after being diagnosed with venous thoracic outlet syndrome. The veteran hurler is expected to need six to eight months to recover from the upcoming surgery, which means that he may not be ready for Opening Day next season. However, if all goes well moving forward, Wheeler should be able to return to the mound sometime during the first half of the 2026 campaign.

Sanoja has been added to Miami's lineup against Detroit as the No. 9 hitter and third baseman Saturday.

Sanoja was originally slated to begin on the bench, but he's been called upon to start after Xavier Edwards was scratched due to right wrist discomfort. With Sanoja entering the lineup at the hot corner, Maximo Acosta is sliding over to second base.

Edwards was initially penciled in as Miami's leadoff hitter and starter at second base, but he'll instead begin the contest on the bench. It's not clear if he may be available to enter later in the game. Miami should release an updated lineup shortly.

Sosa (groin) isn't starting Saturday versus Kansas City, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Sosa was pulled from Friday's series opener due to right groin tightness, and he's not in the lineup one day later. Manager Rob Thomson said after Friday's contest that Sosa's removal was precautionary, though the team figures to continue the cautious approach given the Phillies' 12-game cushion atop the NL East. With Sosa beginning on the bench Saturday, Bryson Stott is starting at shortstop while Donovan Walton is handling second base.
