The Cubs recalled Roberts from Triple-A Iowa on Monday.

Roberts will rejoin the Cubs and provide a fresh arm in the bullpen after Daniel Palencia (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Over 10 appearances with the big club this season, Roberts has posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across nine innings.

Locklear is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Giants.

Locklear had made 10 straight starts at first base after Pavin Smith (quadriceps) was lost for the season, but he's just 5-for-33 with 14 strikeouts over that stretch. Ildemaro Vargas will handle first base for the Diamondbacks in Monday's series opener.

Collins is not in the Brewers' starting lineup against the Rangers on Monday.

Collins will sit for the second time in the Brewers' last three games while Jackson Chourio, Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick start in the outfield from left to right. Collins has logged at least one hit in eight of his last nine games, going 10-for-31 (.323) with one steal, three runs, four doubles, one home run and 10 RBI over that span.

Sosa will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Mets.

Per Matt Gelb of The Athletic, second baseman Bryson Stott could see some time at shortstop after Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain, but Sosa is the more likely candidate to serve as the primary option at the position in Turner's absence. Sosa had handled a utility role for most of the season, but he's acquitted himself well at the plate when called upon, slashing .273/.309/.426 with seven home runs, one steal, 33 RBI and 25 runs over 233 plate appearances. The Phillies remain optimistic that Turner will be able to return from the IL before the postseason, but Sosa could provide some short-term value in deeper leagues while handling a near-everyday role at shortstop.

Lawlar is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco.

Blaze Alexander is starting at third base Monday, marking the third time over the last four contests versus right-handed pitching that he's started at the hot corner. Lawlar is 4-for-22 with a 9:0 K:BB in seven games since being recalled from Triple-A Reno.

Yelich (back) will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the cleanup spot in Monday's game against the Rangers.

Lower-back soreness has kept Yelich off the field for the Brewers' past five games, but he has been cleared to return to the lineup for Monday's series opener. The 33-year-old has performed well at the plate in the home stretch of the 2025 season and has a .957 OPS with 27 runs, seven homers and 23 RBI in 133 plate appearances since Aug. 1.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said he expects Bohm (shoulder) to return from the injured list in the minimum 10 days after the third baseman was deactivated Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Edmundo Sosa and Triple-A Lehigh Valley call-up Otto Kemp will enter the lineup at shortstop and third base, respectively, in Monday's game against the Mets, as the Phillies will break in two new starters in the infield with Bohm and Trea Turner (hamstring) landing on the IL. Though Turner may not be ready to return until shortly before the postseason, Bohm looks like he'll be headed for a shorter absence after he had been playing through pain in his non-dominant (left) shoulder in recent days. According to Gelb, Bohm was determined to be dealing with a cyst that needed to be drained and will be further treated with an injection, but the expectation is that he'll be ready to resume baseball activities after a few days of rest. Bohm is on the IL for the second time this season, after a fractured left rib kept him out of commission for about a month shortly after the All-Star break.

Stephenson is not in the Reds' starting lineup against the Padres on Monday.

Stephenson will be on the bench for Monday's series opener while Jose Trevino catches for Nick Lodolo. Stephenson has gone 1-for-5 with a run and two RBI in two games since returning from the 10-day injured list Friday.

O'Hearn is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

The Padres will go with Gavin Sheets at designated hitter as the Reds send left-hander Nick Lodolo to the hill. The left-handed-hitting O'Hearn had started the previous four contests, including a pair versus southpaws.

Hoskins (thumb) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Hoskins has joined the Brewers in Texas for the start of their three-game set against the Rangers but won't officially be back on the active roster until the second game of the series. The 32-year-old slashed .275/.371/.471 with two home runs over 14 contests on his rehab assignment. Hoskins -- who is coming back from a left thumb sprain -- appears likely to be behind Andrew Vaughn on the Brewers' first-base depth chart, but Christian Yelich's ongoing back issues could create a path to at-bats for Hoskins at designated hitter.
