Suwinski is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Suwinski had started each of the last three games and six of the previous seven, but he's likely to serve as more of a fourth outfielder for Pittsburgh heading into the final month of the season after center fielder Oneil Cruz returned from the injured list Tuesday. However, with the Pirates handing more frequent days off to veterans Andrew McCutchen and Tommy Pham down the stretch, Suwinski could still be in store for a handful of starts per week.

Freeman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds due to a stinger, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The veteran first baseman presumably suffered or aggravated the injury during Tuesday's contest, during which he went 1-for-4 with a double. Freeman is expected to rejoin the starting nine Friday versus the Diamondbacks following Thursday's team off day.

Crismatt is listed as the Diamondbacks' starting pitcher for Thursday's game against the Brewers in Milwaukee, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Crismatt will make his third straight turn through the rotation Thursday and his second as a traditional starter, after the Diamondbacks previously used him as a bulk reliever behind Jalen Beeks his last time out in Saturday's win over the Reds. Through his first two outings with Arizona upon being called up from Triple-A Reno, Crismatt has covered covered nine innings and has struck out nine batters while giving up one earned run on seven hits and four walks.

Marte isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

After logging a hit, driving in a run and scoring a run in each of the first two games of the series, Marte will grab a seat on the bench to begin the penultimate contest of Arizona's four-game set in Milwaukee. Ildemaro Vargas will take over at second base and bat ninth.

Moreno isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Moreno has gone 6-for-16 with two homers, seven RBI and four runs scored in four games since returning from the injured list. He'll get a chance to rest his legs Wednesday while James McCann catches for starter Ryne Nelson and bats sixth.

Taylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

With eight hits and a 3:1 BB:K over the last six games, Taylor has been one of the Mets' more productive hitters of late, but he still appears to be relegated to the short side of a center-field platoon. He had been included in the lineup in five of the previous six games, but four of those starts came against lefties. As anticipated, Taylor will be back on the bench Wednesday while Taijuan Walker toes the rubber for the Phillies.

Mullins is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

The Mets are going up against a right-hander (Taijuan Walker) for the series finale, but the left-handed-hitting Mullins will nonetheless remain on the bench after he was held out of the lineup against lefty starters Monday and Tuesday. Jeff McNeil will get the nod in center field in place of Mullins.

Torrens is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Torrens will receive Wednesday off after he had started behind the plate in each of the Mets' last three contests while going 4-for-11 with a home run, a double, five RBI and three runs. Hayden Senger will spell Torrens behind the dish.

Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Wednesday that Arenado (shoulder) is in the early stages of a throwing program while rehabbing at the team's spring training complex in Florida, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Arenado has missed all of August with a right shoulder strain and doesn't appear on track to return at the beginning of September when rosters expand. The hope remains that the veteran third baseman will make it back in action at some point this season, but until then, Nolan Gorman will continue to hold down the hot corner for the Cardinals.

Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Wednesday that Donovan is still dealing with soreness in his left groin and hasn't advanced much past cage work, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Donovan has been sidelined since mid-August with a left groin strain, and his progress appears to have stalled. He's eligible for activation from the 10-day injured list at any time, but the All-Star second baseman is without a clear timeline for a return. Thomas Saggese will continue to play the keystone for St. Louis while Donovan is out.
