Suarez struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Phillies.

Suarez has pitched three of the last four days and is now on a five-inning scoreless streak that began July 4 versus the Rangers. The closer's heavy workload lately may lead to him not making an appearance Saturday even if a save situation arises, though the rest of the Padres' top high-leverage arms have also pitched on the same days as Suarez this week. Suarez is up to 28 saves in 31 chances while maintaining a 3.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 43:12 K:BB through 40.2 innings this season.

Bergert allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies on Friday.

Bergert missed minimal time due to a forearm bruise and didn't look rusty in his return. He was a little unfortunate, as two of the three hits he allowed in this contest were solo home runs, but his seven strikeouts came up one shy of matching his season high. Bergert hasn't been let loose fully as a starter -- he finished this outing at 82 pitches (52 strikes) and has failed to reach the five-inning mark in his last three starts. Overall, he's posted a 2.84 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB through 31.2 innings across 10 appearances (six starts). Bergert will get a little more time to recuperate during the All-Star break before resuming his competition with Randy Vasquez to stay in the rotation once Michael King (shoulder) returns from the 60-day injured list, which is likely to happen in August.

Soto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks during Friday's 8-3 win over the Royals.

Soto is up to 22 home runs on the season and is looking much more like himself at the plate in his first season with the Mets. The 26-year-old outfielder had a monster June, notching a 1.196 OPS, and has largely continued that into July. In the first 10 games of the month, he is slashing .323/.447/.452 with six RBI.

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run during Friday's 8-3 win over the Royals.

Over the course of Lindor's six-game hit streak, he is 8-for-23 (.348 batting average) with two doubles, four walks, two homers and eight RBI. The home run was 19th of the season for the All-Star shortstop, who is slashing .263/.335/.465 on the year.

Senga took a no-decision after throwing four innings, allowing no runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four, during Friday's 8-3 win over the Royals.

Senga made his first big-league start since June 12, and since he made only one rehab start, he threw only four innings and 67 pitches. Regardless, the 32-year-old looked sharp in his return, notching his seventh shutout appearance in 14 starts this season, and he has still yet to allow more than three runs in a game. The right-hander has been one of the best pitchers in the game when he's been healthy, sporting a 1.39 ERA in 77.2 innings pitched.

Chourio went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-3 win over Washington.

Chourio extended his hitting streak to eight games and notched his 13th game of the season with multiple RBI. The dynamic center fielder remains a key cog in Milwaukee's lineup, and he's served as a five-category fantasy producer for the majority of the first half of the year. Across his last 27 games (109 at-bats), Chourio is hitting a healthy .275 with five home runs, 21 RBI, 23 runs scored and three stolen bases.

Contreras 2-for-4 with two RBI, two doubles and a run scored in Friday's 8-3 win over Washington.

It's been a disappointing first half overall for Contreras -- his .348 slugging percentage in 2025 is well short of his .446 mark for his career -- but he's at least fared better in a small sample lately. Across his last seven outings, the star backstop is hitting .310 (9-for-29) with three RBI, four extra-base hits and four runs scored. That said, Contreras has just two outings with multiple extra-base knocks this year, and he hasn't gone deep since June 14.

Murphy went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

It was the sixth career multi-homer effort by Murphy, who is beginning to make a case for more playing time behind the plate with a recent power surge. The veteran backstop's slugging percentage stood at .423 as of June 26, but he's since raised that figure to .513 for the season. Over his last 10 outings, Murphy is hitting .314 (11-for-35) with six long balls, three doubles and 13 RBI.

Arenado was removed from Friday's game against Atlanta with a sprained right index finger, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Arenado injured the same finger toward the end of June, which caused him to miss the first two games of July. If he ends up having to miss more time, Thomas Saggese would likely fill in as St Louis' third baseman.

Iglesias secured the save in Friday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals, allowing no baserunners in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

It's worth noting Dylan Lee may not have been available after working the past two days and taking a blown save in Thursday's loss to the Athletics. That said, Iglesias is certainly turning a corner and pushing to secure the closer role after posting a 6.75 ERA as of June 5. The veteran right-hander hasn't surrendered a run over his last 11.2 innings, during which he owns a 0.60 WHIP and 16:1 K:BB.
