The Cardinals recalled Munoz from Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

He's swapping in for Gordon Graceffo on the active roster as the Cardinals add a fresh bullpen arm. Munoz has made five relief appearances for St. Louis this season, yielding six runs with a 7:3 K:BB over 5.2 innings.

Graceffo tossed two scoreless relief innings Sunday against the Reds during his lone day with the big club. Roddery Munoz is taking Graceffo's roster spot as the Cardinals add a fresh bullpen arm.

The Cubs optioned Pearson to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday.

Pearson's stay with the Cubs lasted just two days, with the right-hander getting sent back to Iowa after he was roughed up for five earned runs on five hits and two walks over two innings while mopping up in Sunday's 14-6 loss to the Mariners. Chicago called up right-hander Michael Fulmer from Iowa to take Pearson's spot in the bullpen.

The Diamondbacks designated Garcia for assignment Monday.

The signing of veteran catcher James McCann was made official Monday, so Garcia's presence is no longer required. Garcia accepted an outright assignment by the Diamondbacks earlier this month and could do so again, assuming he clears waivers.

The Diamondbacks signed McCann to a one-year contract Monday.

The veteran backstop will share catching duties with Jose Herrera while Gabriel Moreno (hand) is on the injured list. Before Atlanta released him over the weekend, McCann had played exclusively in the minors in 2025, slashing .305/.345/.510 over 165 plate appearances. The 35-year-old owns a .673 OPS over parts of 11 seasons in the big leagues but probably offers more value as a game caller and a defender than as a hitter at this stage of his career.

Vientos (hamstring) will remain on his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse through at least Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The Mets had left open the possibility of Vientos rejoining them for their four-game series against Atlanta that begins Monday, but it now appears likely that the earliest he will return is Friday in Pittsburgh for the start of a road trip. Vientos has missed most of June with a right hamstring strain and has gone 2-for-17 with a double and 3:0 K:BB in four rehab games with Syracuse.

Verdugo is absent from the lineup for Monday's game versus the Mets.

Verdugo has re-established himself as Atlanta's go-to left fielder against right-handed pitching, making seven straight starts in such situations, but he is sitting out Monday as the Mets send righty Paul Blackburn to the bump. Eli White will play left field and bat eighth.

Baldwin is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Mets.

Baldwin started the last two and four of the last five games, but he will get a day off in Monday's series opener. Sean Murphy is catching and batting sixth for Atlanta.

Trevino will start at catcher and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Yankees.

Tyler Stephenson remains the Reds' No. 1 catcher, but Trevino has been seeing more work of late behind the dish while Stephenson has become more of a factor at designated hitter. Gavin Lux had been serving as the Reds' primary DH, but he's been getting more exposure to third base in recent days while the Reds have struggled to generate production at the position from Santiago Espinal and Christian Encarnacion-Strand. Though Encarnacion-Strand will cover the hot corner Monday, Lux will play left field to keep the DH spot open for Stephenson, thereby paving the way for Trevino to start at catcher for the third time in four games. Expect Trevino's playing time to eventually take a hit once Noelvi Marte (oblique) returns from the IL and likely steps back in as the Reds' everyday third baseman.

Senga (hamstring) is scheduled to play catch off a mound Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

It's not a bullpen session, but Senga has done his best to keep his arm in shape as he recovers from a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. Senga is slated to be re-evaluated Friday, but the expectation is that he won't be ready to rejoin the Mets' rotation until after the All-Star break.
